Mountain with a lot of campfires

I was walking up a slope to a shoulder between two mountain tops, a small to the left and a high to the right. The slope was covered with snow, which had formed a crust, so it was easy to walk at a fast pace. Alongside with me jumped a little white hare. It was dark, but the snow was glowing, thus it was easy to find the way.

There was also an invisible entity in the dream, walking along with me, a bit taller than me, which felt kind and strong (this or similar entities have appeared in my dreams sometimes, and these dreams have turned out to be significant to me).

At the shoulder between the mountains, I turned to the left, and the invisible entity told me with thoughts that I could go there if I liked, the view was nice. I went there, the small top was empty, but there was a good overview of a large part of landscape.

Now I went back to the shoulder, and turned to the mountain to the right. It was dark, the mountain was really big, and I could hardly see the outline of the mountain. There were a lot of campfires spread out on the mountain, some close together, a few close to the top, a large group of campfires were spread out along the side of the mountain. All the campfires were identical.

The invisible entity told me that there were people around each campfire, and that I was going to meet many of them. It was meant that I should go there and walk up that mountain, too, but I stopped and watched for a while as it was so large and impressive. Then I started to walk towards the mountain, and woke up from the dream.

When I dreamed this, some years ago, I had decided to use more time to search for what was going on / find truth. I think the mountain is related to this search, and that the other people around the campfires are engaged in the same. The large gathering of campfires might be this forum?

your dream actually reminds me a lot of this painting by polish artist Zdzislaw Beksinski;

Interesting. There are some similaries, but large differences as well.

In my dream all the campfires were on the same mountain, and the people could move between them and interact. It was nice. Warm.

In the painting, all the campfires are on separate tops. No interaction between them. The white masks doesn't look nice either, I think.

I forgot one thing: When I started to walk towards the mountain, the invisible entity said "There is time enough".

Stellaria_graminea,

indeed your dream imagery sound much more hospitable and friendly than beksinski's vision.

and "There is time enough" sounds quite soothing as well.
i guess that, objectively, there is always the exact amount of time of everything. :)

Yes, I liked that. Something I needed to hear, so I hope my brain didn't make it up.

However, there is something with the dreams I have where there is one or a few invisible entities present, these dreams have often shown themselves to be useful. They're usually not so nice as this dream was, on the contrary, mostly useful as warnings.

interesting.

i've never felt ''insvisible'' presences in a dream that i can recall. however, i used to have dreams in the past that had a ''narrator'' explaining what was going on in the dream. it was sort of like putting on those earphones at the museum, or a tour bus guide.
''on your left you can see...'', that kind of thing.

your dream seems to me very symbolic at any rate. mountains, people at the top, campfires.
many straight-up symbols. of course many dream interpreters claim that one should take into account the subjective ''feeling'' that the symbols created in the dream. since you could have a nightmare about socks on a table, for instance.

The invisible entity is some sort of narrator, but doesn't tell so much, just a few comments. Standing beside me, as I am present as myself in these dreams. Sometimes I am actually present as invisible too, for example I have been in a crowd watching things happening, and communicating with another invisible entity (of a kind unknown to me). The people around me doesn't see me.

yup

first person and third person positions are very common in dreams.
and the "invisibility" factor is also very common.

these create variation in experience of the dream environment.

obviously, if no "one" else in the dream notices you then the whole dream would be much different.
you would sense things in a more detached way, in the sense that you are more a bystander.

i found this list of various interpretations on the invisibility phenomena in dreams:

_http://en.mimi.hu/dreams/invisible.html

there are a lot of different interpretations to this theme.

in my opinion, the feeling accompanying the dream can shed some light on which interpretation fits, and more often than not, in dreams, each symbol or occurrence is multi-layered and does not have only one "meaning".

i used to have many dreams in which i was invisible to the environment, in which case i would just look around and experience it.
personally, i've ceased trying to find interpretations for dreams. i treat them nowadays as curiosities. not that i think that reflecting on them is wrong or anything.. not at all.

at any rate, it sounds like your dream was all in all pleasant / neutral.
