The Living Force
Saw this last night. It's based on true events from WWII in Belarus, where some Jews escaped massacres by fleeing into the large forests in the area. Three brothers took on a leadership role, and the movie depicts the struggle with organizing a society from scratch under hostile conditions. It depicts the moral and emotional struggle to maintain a suitable degree of compassion and human values while still actively choosing to stay alive, even if this means armed conflict with the germans and collaborators in the district. Food for thought in regard to how much of a struggle one should put up in keeping alive under similar conditions.
