My anniversary symbolism?

Monday night, but technically Tuesday morning, I was driving home. I have been reading ISOTM and was on the part where G talks about there is an I and then there is "Ouspensky". And about knowing that he is Ouspensky, but he really isn't him. So I was kind of thinking about that and my own decisions in doing things and then getting sidetracked and things like that.

And then my car's cruise control, which was engaged, cut out and I slowed down. The car would go in neutral so I almost stopped, but then it went back into drive. I had remembered that that night I was to be registered to this forum for a year. And when I looked at my car clock I did a little math and it was right around the exact date I signed up, within 5 minutes.

So I thought maybe there was something symbolic about this. I came up with, "I can't proceed mechanically anymore, I must take control and pilot myself." But it is clear that there really is a problem with the cruise control, because it still cuts out. I just thought it was kind of interesting. I don't know how much a repair would be, I might just let it go and deal with it.

Thanks Bo for the info about cruise control. I don't think I should have any trouble with being less in control while driving because I have just been not using it. Though, when I come home from work I'm usually tired and not using it will help keep me alert and more engaged in the driving process.
