I came across this yesterday, It's a project to try to 'wake up' the masses in the states.
The artist sent it out to country music stations all over the country and is asking everyone to request it as much as possible to cause a big stir.

I always laugh when I hear the words "Country & Western". I think it was in the 70's when Barbara Retalland? of the University of California did an experiment with plants in a greenhouse.

She first played them heavy rock and all the plants grew away from the speakers. Then she played sitar music by Ravi Shankar and the plants grew around the speakers absolutely loving the music. Finally she played Country and Western and the plants grew as if there was no music at all. Sort of agrees with my estimation of the value of C&W.

Running with this thought..............loads of connections, the power of sound, the effects of frequencies, the Field...........

I think you meant Barbara Retallack. Interesting though, do you know where I can find the results of the study? Google wasn't too helpful.

I read about the experiment in 1978. It may have been in a book called "How to raise a brighter child" but I won't swear to it.
