My friend is in critical condition and has asked for help / assisting prayers

Hi all,

I'm not sure if such a thread is congruent with the forum ethos, but thought I would post as I cannot see any guideline that would directly or expressly oppose it. If I am mistaken no biggie if it is pointed out.

I have a friend called Tabatha, who I met on a retreat in the Amazon a couple of years ago. She is a lovely, vibrant and conscious individual. Sadly I learned today that she has gone into a coma, but through a friend had directly asked me and another guy who we became firm friends with for assistance and prayers. The subtext is she had just given birth to her third baby boy, and shortly thereafter fell critically ill with COVID. I feel it would be inappropriate to speculate given the circumstances but I find the whole affair troubling.

I know how important free will is to you guys (and me), so I attach a photo of the text in which my friend and I are directly asked for help. I have said a prayer, I'm not sure what else one can do in such circumstances, and if you feel it appropriate perhaps you could do the same? Also any feedback on the propriety of such action appreciated, as I am currently in the section of the Wave series vol. 3 in which Laura compellingly describes how every thing has it's 'face' and every circumstance has its place. I am fortunate that life has brought me to the place where I can agree with what she posits, hence the careful tone in this thread. Thanks for reading.

Is this an induced coma? My knowledge of ventilators is poor, but they seem to do more harm than good from what I've heard. Why not just oxygen if it is induced? At any rate, I hope your friend will be ok and you as well. 🤗

Your post is rather ambiguous, full of enotional cues, could provide more information?
