My mother told me about a dream that she had last night. I'm wondering if I'm just thinking that this is wierd or if it really is wierd.
She told me that in her dream someone was banging on her door like they would break in and she called the police. The detectives came over and one of them was a woman my mother works with in real life. The detective told my mother that she should get two glock .44's and put one on one nightstand and the other gun on the other nightstand. The next day (in real life) my mother went to work and spoke to the woman she works with (whom my mother doesn't know very well and has never had a personal conversation). My mother told her about the dream and the woman said that she does have two guns, a glock .44 and a glock .38 and keeps one on each nightstand.
My mother said that she was thinking of my door locks at my new apartment before she went to bed. I also got a call from a toll free number asking if I'd gotten the assistance I asked for. When I asked where they were calling from the phone went dead. This could be entirely unrelated though...even though when I called back the call wouldn't go through.
I looked up guns in dreams and it said it could mean aggression, anger or potential danger. The dreamer may be dealing with issues of passsiveness/aggressiveness or authority/dependence.
The potential danger is the part that wierds me out. My mother has had semi-prophetic dreams in the past and it's really odd that she never spoke to her coworker about guns.
