The original Idea for the song or more the feeling, came to me partly through Dracula, that is to say the movies of Nosferatu by Werner Herzog and Bram Strokers Dracula focussing on the desire of the Count for his lost Love. On a more abstract level a sort of ancient longing for a lost state of unification or spiritual wholeness and also the Idea of sacrifice or dying into something expanding and transpersonal.
