Hi EmeraldHope,

I think that one should be careful putting the things too much in boxes, and personally don't like when Astrologers say "You ARE like this and that"
Yes Pisces is the opposite sign of Virgo where Mercury rules (Mercury also rules Gemini) so when Mercury is in Pisces or Sagittarius it is said to be "in fall"
And yes in Pisces it can make thoughts and communication a bit foggy, but it can also cause one to think/talk about the Spirit (or letting go of ego), or could cause one to be great at expressing one self through poetry, art or music.

A few more tips I thought about:

I think that it helped me a lot to figure out how Astrology works, when I read someone (I don't remember who) who talked about the Astrological Alphabet, meaning understanding that Mars, First House, and Aries have a similar energy, Venus, Second House, and Taurus (and Venus, 7th house ,and Libra) have a similar energy, and so forth.
Though it is simplifying matters, it did help me get it (not that I'm an expert, but I know enough to make use of it in a practical way for myself)

Once one get an idea of what energy is what, it is easier to understand what mixing this and that energy means.

Another good way to learn I've found, is following the Moon. (studying it, not being food for it ;) )
As the Moon changes sign every 2 and a half days, I think one can learn a lot by looking at what aspects it makes to other planets in the particular sign it is in before leaving it. And see what happens on those days, anything from who calls (and what do they talk about) to what do they choose to send on TV (if you are one with TV)

Might help or not :)

Yes, thank you. My chart says that sun, moon, and mercury are all in the fourth house. ( ruled by the moon) My ascendant is Sagitaruis. So I am loaded with moon and jupiter stuff. My name is Cynthia- which is Greek for moon goddess

I will try the studying the moon thing- sounds like a practical way to start associating different aspects. Thank you. You all have been very helpful as I did not know what a practical approach to this type of study was.
