Netherlands bright green fireball + Video

If you like you could write a small summary of the article or translate it if you like and I see nothing wrong doing it. Every data point is important imo and an addition for sott.

Yes a translation would be useful and any other videos too. An article on the event is now up on sott.

Ok, next time if anything local happens I will translate it right away.

The video shared on both sides in this topic is the only one available of the event that I so far know of.

I went to check out the Dutch SOTT site to see whether the original Dutch article had been posted there but came up empty handed. Must be the Easter weekend causing the delay I presume.

Good find bjorn! Palinurus, an article on the fireball is up on Dutch Sott now :):

It appears that some people witnessed the fireball as being blue or green. I'll see if I can find more information and write a short article on it for the English Sott.

We now have a Sott article on it with a bit more information: http://www.sott.net/article/315340-Bright-meteor-fireball-fragments-over-the-Netherlands-Belgium-and-UK
I also spotted this meteor unexpectedly. I was watching television last night in the living room and suddenly saw something moving through the window, I looked outside and saw the biggest meteor that I've ever seen. It moved quite slow and disintegrated in dozens of pieces. Its color seemed to me to be more yellow to orange. The direction I was looking at was the west. It was beautiful, but I was concerned about the sonic boom and opened the windows for a couple of minutes for the blast wave that luckily didn't hit.
Apparently it was that huge that some feared a blast wave.

Good article Oxajil, I think you made the story complete. I couldn’t find more information about it.

Good job :) I just looked on youtube but can't find any more videos of it.

Yes, my thoughts exactly. A neat summation of all available info. Thanks again.
