Neuro-hacking & Dreams

This popped up on my facebook feed just now:

Essentially, DARPA is funding a private consulting and research firm or as they call themselves a 'neuro-hacking' group; C-LAB (re: _http://www.neuro-hacks.com)

Their slogan:

“Curiosity. Creativity. Consulting detectives. Cognition. Complexity. Consciousness. Cyber-security. Cinema. Consumer behavior. Computation. Contact.”

A paragraph from the underground reporter article:

"Some of the ongoing research projects at C-lab include “Affecting choices in dreams during sleep.” This one falls more in line with what Cerf presented at TED, as the study asks: “Mostly — can we affect people’s sleep — making them remember things better during sleep, or even injecting content into their dreams and memories.”"

O bother...

Sounds like something out of the movie Dreamscape.

I mentioned on another thread some dreams I have with Putin in them. I perceive in them that he has dream guardians around, very selective about what is allowed to get through.

AWESTUFF! XD

Thanks for showing this to me Yupo. I loved the dated effects and oh my... that soundtrack! Very inspiring stuff!

I found the full movie here for other readers who may be interested in seeing it in all its glory:

(I added the _ and chose not to embed it, as I'm not sure if this video is legitimately uploaded to youtube)

As I have always been fascinated with dreams, I think this is kind of like the same paranoia that Snowden has put on us with phones.

Now, if people think their dreams are being hacked, they lose their personal power of resolving emotional/intellectual issues in dreaming- even if it's not happening!

I feel the same way when it comes to abduction fears. What good is it for us to be scared of something that we cannot prove is happening or not?

Heck, if we wanted to go even deeper- what if this reality were a dream in itself? What good would more rules on top of rules do if we are already "insane"?

This and also the trending news of Elon Musk stating it's possible we're currently in a simulation:

(Of course, syndicated news outlets sensationalized this as "There's a 'one in billions' chance reality is not a simulation" ...the main trend on my facebook for days)

I have had a feeling of being watched and manipulated for a long time. I saw this creative game called Spore a while back, which really got me thinking that we are like self-aware Simms, a creation in a long running game. We are programmed with certain behaviors and ideas which drive us all in different ways. I have the idea that God and Satan are just 2 guys in easy chairs playing a game, using us. The one that gets the most converts by the end of each session, wins the round. I guess the round is over when the comets come. Near the end of the round there are so many wild cards influencing things, very hard to call a winner.

I believe Spore was a multiplayer world where your creations interacted with the creations of other creators. I think the winner was the one that got the created creating worlds of his own.
