CLASSIFIED documents published on a whistleblowing website have led the US government to conclude there is a new leaker exposing US national security secrets, a news report says.
THE documents published on The Intercept website provide extensive details about the government's Terrorist Screening Database.
Some of the material was dated after former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden left the country, and the government believes someone else released them, CNN reported, citing an unidentified US official.
The Intercept is a website launched by journalist Glenn Greenwald, who published some of the documents leaked by Snowden in 2013.

The classified documents obtained by The Intercept provide details about a government watch list of "known or suspected terrorists" that is shared with local law enforcement agencies, The Intercept said.
Nearly half the people in the database are not connected to any known terrorist group, the website says in the article analysing the data.
The Intercept said it obtained the documents from a source in the intelligence community. It said the information revealed the Obama administration had presided over an unprecedented expansion of the terrorist screening system.
For example, the administration has boosted the number of people on the no fly list more than tenfold to a record high 47,000.
Greenwald has suggested before that another leaker exists. In July, he said on Twitter "it seems clear at this point" that there was another.
