At one point, one of you mentioned David Frum being a recent speech writer, which is to also say he is an embedded atlanticist and think-tanker, son of Barbara Frum, who was the main anchor on the CBC back in the 70's. He was also the speech writer for Bush, penning the infamous axis of evil tripe.

Conor McGregor has irreversible brain damage from many kicks, punches and elbows to his head, thus loss of emotional control issues. Multiple police cases beating civilians, solved through settlements probably. He threw a metal chair at a company bus carrying UFC fighters, the window broke and the glass cut the faces of his colleagues. Last time he beat a pensioner drinking in a bar. He mentioned on camera commenting on his meager multi-million dollar UFC income - which he arranged by making previously unheard of deals with UFC boss Dana White to increase small UFC fighters pay from couple 100Ks to millions - that he has to grow financially to be able to "have a bigger bite". He was looking at his luxury car and his small luxury yacht and clearly wanted to be able to buy larger luxury yachts, a private jet and finally arrive to the big league of the really rich. Private club access, etc..
UFC also does lots of documentaries and in these McGregor starred. So far he wasn't banned from the UFC, but is considered probably unstable.

I do find his confidence entertaining, but he's always been a showman in the sport and lost the plot via drugs after making a name for himself.

He sold out in favour of Israel around the time he announced to run for president, and the headlines are actually similar to before Trumps first term, so I wouldn't say it's outside of the realm of possibility of him getting a political position. What a mess.
