Well if you hate it now, just wait till the ice age cometh...
If we're sharing car stories, I have one for you too. I was on vacation in California, and apparently they have these speed bumps there that are right in the middle of certain streets - not just drive-ways or parking lots, which is the only place I've seen them here in Massachusetts. Anyway, it was night time and I was driving on the empty street a "bit" faster than the speed limit. And everything would've been just fine had it not been for a surprise speed bump in the middle of the street that was completely invisible until it was 2 feet in front of me. It's smoother than the typical parking lot speed bump, which, at the speed I was going, was effectively a launching ramp. I noticed it exactly 0.1 seconds before I found my rented Nissan Versa flying through the air for what seemed like eternity. After a rough landing and a brief inspection, the car seemed fine, and I realized that speeding on Cali side streets at night is not wise, despite the fact that the brief flight was definitely a "unique" experience, to say the least. My girlfriend, who was sitting next to me, couldn't agree more, and we didn't speed for the rest of the vacation (except on the freeway, but that's just normal driving in cali).
