Newly motherhood during pandemic times

I never really thought that this could be a topic that may help any other new mothers around here but after someone mentioned it and I gave it some thought I decided to just write :)

I am a new mom to a baby girl that is now 15 months, time does fly by. How can I start to share about my experience with motherhood during pandemic times? Well, I guess that first of all we all know that being a mom is something no one taught us and we learn day by day; we have new experiences, challenges, adventures and so on every day so we are also in constant learning. Our babies are new to everything and so are we in some sense.

Of course that this are challenging times and we are encountered with many other challenges. Luckily my husband is on the same page as me with the whole covid craziness. Since she was born and after my postpartum quarantine, we started taking her out to the park, for walks, she goes with me wherever I go. Yes, when all this started people would stare and ask why she wasn't wearing a mask or didn't allow us in some stores. As things have been more "light" in my city we go out more without getting comments about her not wearing a mask or something.

Times are difficult and being a new mom in these precise times has it's own challenges, thinking about her future and what may happen. But one thing I get too much from my mom is that even her generation had hardships, we have to adapt, have strenght and do nothing but the best for her.

Edit (added because it wasn't posted properly)

Maybe there are other new moms or dads here that also have worries during these times; the vaccines, the isolation, etcetera. Sharing what is on our minds is so important. We have been blessed to be part of a lovely group that also shares so many important information.

One thing that is clear is that we also have been blessed with our children, having a healthy kid is something we have to always be thankful for. My daughter is so smart, intelligent and right now she is a nonstop toddler that wants to discover everything. Taking care of ourselves is also something very important. Some months back I had health issues due to lack of proper sleep and many other things, so I came to realize that we also need to take at least a couple of minutes to breath and recharge.

Thank you for reading and I hope that this could be for some use to other new parents around here.

Lovely! To give hope to the parents, that decide or refuse to adopt this madness, And more improtantly, to have a healthy child, to grow and thrive in years to come, humanity is not dead, it is thriving! Despite all the fear propaganda and fear porn throwing around.

This is the future of humanity, to take us into a new reality. Love and caring, from parents, that really care about their children, and their future. Makes my heart grow.

It is a journey, a very hard one, but filled with so many unexpected joys. No one can teach the path. The hardest job in the world, I think. Congratulations to both of you for the milestone. Hold her close. The years go fast, but it does not seem like it when it is happening.
