Hi,
I was wondering if anybody heard of this group and listened to their songs. They sing in various languages like Turkish, Urdu, Persian. They perform Sufi music and Persian folk songs. The singer, Azam Ali has a voice that is really touching.
From Turkish:
A poem called Beni Beni, "Oh me, oh me" a Sufi song describing the painful existence in this world because of the separation with Divine.

From Urdu:
Ishq (Love and the Veil) which is from Khwaja Mir Dard, a talented Sufi poet and here are the lyrics:
"If here we do not see thee imminent in they grace
Then it is fair to say we have seen nothing of this world
My heart is like crumpled bud
That none have yet seen bloom
What all haven't I seen within your love
What all haven't I seen within your love
Your indifference has wrought my ruin
Yet you never even glanced this way
The scars within have set me ablaze
Alas, you never came to see this sight
What all haven't seen within your love
I was the veil that hid the face of my beloved
Once awakened there was no longer a veil
Day and night it is him whom I seek
Him whom none have ever known or witnessed."

From Persian:
This song is called The Hunt, a Persian folk song that describes two hunters one of them wanting to hunt several animals like rabbit, deer etc. At each time the other one objects because some feature of that animal reminds him of his lover. I tend to think this in terms of Unity of Being. This song has a perfect rhythm and harmony in its each line.
