Not a good sign - voters willingly elect convicted felon as mayor

What message are the voters of the CT city I live in sending the 'verse when they willingly again elect (unofficial election results so far but it looks pretty conclusive) a known, convicted felon (who was convicted of 16 counts of racketeering while holding the office of mayor in the past)? I mean, this wasn't a Marion Barry type of situation - these were Major Crimes. Heard some Nasty, Nasty stuff about this guy. Heck; they wouldn't even give him back his law license due to his inability or unwillingness to even pretend to be contrite. Oh, but he's a charmer and schmoozer, all right.

But it's not that he did those things, that's he's....likely one of those types of people.

It's that a majority of the people essentially said: "Yeah, we know what he did - but we don't care."

*keeps one eye on the sky* Time to move, d'you think?

Yeah, it's a severely ponerized society that champions the worst among us. I saw the same when I lived in Rhode Island when 'Buddy' Cianci was elected despite, or maybe even because he was an outright thug and convicted felon.

We're seeing the same thing on a national level with Hillary Clinton too. She'll probably be the next president and no other candidate comes close to the amount of criminal activity and death and destruction she's caused. It's sickening!

It's really a sign of the times. People seem to be so disconnected from reality on a global scale! It's really shocking.
