My county is larger than the state of Connecticut and we need support from the federal government. It’s their job to secure the border and they haven’t done it. I'm wondering when it will become illegal for Americans to set foot in another country....all the madness over immigration is bound to have backlash no one is counting on. What if Mexico decided one day to make it illegal for any American to enter the country without a pedigree, a lip tatoo, and a collar with a rifid chip? That's about as sane as what's been proposed with this stupid fence.

What if it became illegal for any American to leave the country unless its for military service? I think that's what the walls are really for, to hold us all in a countrywide gulag.

There's something odd about all this border hype down south. There are long long long stretches along the Rio Grande where there is absolutely no patrol, no fences, and nothing preventing anyone from coming in or going out. I've seen it.

Everytime you build a fence/wall to isolate the outside, you isolate the inside as well. The US/Mexican border stories always remember me that funny scene in "the day after tomorrow" movie where US citizens try to cross the border to the south because of ice age. In the movie it was intended to ironic but i cannot stop thinking that that could happen somewhere in the future. What could happen to people between a military regime on a side and a heavily armed and violent mafia by the other side?
