Many of you may have heard by now that Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are having a combined rally (or faux dueling rallies) In Washington, D.C. on Saturday October 30th 2010. Info on each can be found here:

And there is a thread about it here with only my reply so far:

Right now those sites don't have a whole lot of content. Practically none in fact. Part of the reason I think is the idea for this rally started as an Internet meme in response to Glenn Beck's nonsense and these two attention-loving instigators decided to make it a reality and set a date for it. But what exactly is supposed to be the point of this rally/march? I mean, we're mad as hell and not going to take it anymore, but what are we going to do about it? Other than not going around shouting that out of windows, because as Stewart apparently jokes, it would be rude.
It's kind of hard to summarize everything that's gone wrong in the world and what to do about it onto a 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of paper, let alone a protest sign, but maybe it's worth a try. I'm not sure holding up a sign trying to get it on TV is really a way to accomplish much, but passing out some info that people could look at and follow the links from might actually make a dent. This crowd is likely to be more "awake" than "average" by certain measures, but I would imagine many of them would still be likely to be freaked out or turned off by too much outright talk of UFOs/hyperdimensions/anything easy to snicker at in place of actually thinking about it. Then again, you don't know until you try.
I'm thinking that some kind of detailed explanation of psychopathy and it's role in our government is essential. Getting ordinary people to understand those concepts could make or break things in a quickly passing window of time. 9/11 Truth obviously relates closely to this, but as noted there has been some overt hostility toward the subject and it might be better to have it in a less-than-prominent place on the page or maybe just a link somewhere. It breaks my heart to think of compromise on even bringing up the subject, but it's a fair bet there will be AJ-type truther material going around in some form at this thing and it would be a shame to get lumped in with those folks right away.
Anyone have any other ideas on what information might be appropriate to pass out in flyer form at an event such as this? I can at least see some relation to the subject in "Restore Sanity: Resist Psychopathy" or something to that effect. Low expectations and criticism of this event are welcome and expected, but it looks like I'll end up being there so I figure it's worth a shot to try and do something worthwhile.
