The mainstream news has become one never ending infomercial and is selling War, Disease, Famine and Strife. The 4 Horseman reference and Biblical implications just hit me this morning. I know it's odd but that's what it seems like to me.

Good point, I don't think you're off the mark there, whether one wants to see it from a biblical point of view or simply a practical one.
The media has become, for the most part, a humongous global industry, to spread lies and to push agendas that have the intention of creating the conditions that one would attribute are the work of infernal creatures with godlike powers.

Some kind of famine would be a logical result of the sanctions etc.

We are in the times of the four horsemen now. But so far, the pestilence we have experienced was definitely manufactured, and this war has many hallmarks of manufacture too. So will be the famine, as we see elites shutting down processing plants, destroying farmland, feeding us GMO's, and enforcing "green" tech on us while simultaneously trying to stop all fossil fuels. Climate change will play a part, certainly; but without those preceding negative human interventions, the worst of it can yet be avoided with proper preparations.
The deaths will be manufactured too, courtesy of war and medical negligence with the jabs. But it seems to me, the degree to which we see the TRUTH of their genesis is the degree to which we can foresee it all coming and work together to avoid the worst of it before it happens in our own personal realities.
Anticipation and proper actions taken with clarity of purpose in line with TRUTH and natural laws will always trump any devious concoctions devised by psychopathic men. Every. Single. Time. And I am quite hopeful a large portion of humanity will soon unite with this common understanding. The psychopaths have taken off their masks, and we are all Roddy Pipers at heart.

What I sometimes wonder is whether the people can do something different against the elites of this world. And more precisely, if it is possible, for the governed, to appeal to group prayer against the criminal elites. A common prayer asking, IN SELF DEFENSE, that the elites of this world (with name and surname) fall dead. That the masses plead that their declared enemies (Rothschild, Rockefeller, Soros, the name you want. All those who have evil intentions in their heart and have the power to take inhuman measures) be stopped. Again, IN SELF DEFENSE. It would be interesting to see, for example, what would happen if just 3000 Canadians praying in self-defense, asking the universe that Trudeau dies, or 3000 New Zealanders doing the same with Jacinda Ardern.
This is probably not something suitable for 4D STO candidates. But there are millions of organic portals and people in general who are not 4D candidates (nor STO or STS) and need to defend against merciless attacks on themselves and their families. And if they were to ask the universe in a united way and as self-defense, it could be a weapon for the downtrodden people.

The thing is that a certain portion of the population doesn't see them as enemies. You could prevent people from learning important lessons that way. Also, I think, assuming those people would die from your proposed activity, they will just be replaced by other psychopaths. The core problem is lack of knowledge and awareness by the population on psychopathy and all the disinformation they've been fed, from vegetarianism, to materialism, to man made global warming, to gender fluidity, and so on. Hopefully as they continue to show their true colors, or sadly as things worsen and suffering is increased, more people will start to see the true situation as it is. Plus, those psychos have a lot of blood on their hands, and I wouldn't want to be attracting what they're probably attracting... comets perhaps? Or they'll be their own undoing. I guess we'll see!
Well, yes and no.
I think that rising awareness is an individual task first, one can only control what one sees and how one reacts to the information (or disinformation), so that portion of the task will always remain individual, now of course it can become painful to see something and realize that those around you whom you care for do not see it and thus fall prey to a number of machinations.
But then, there's always the possibility of encountering others who have done similar work to raise their own awareness and establishing a network, that may pray yes, but also who have common and similar goals, both individually and collectively and that can certainly have an impact, not on the world at large (although who knows) but on how they interact with it.
The other idea about this is that, while it does become increasingly desirable to change the world, I also think that at some level living under these exact conditions is what we signed up for, this is the reality and living on a new reality isn't accomplished by changing this one but by moving onto another one. This one will remain, as a university course remains and the student is the one that moves on once it has completed the learning it needed get from it.
I hope the above makes sense, as I think that we individually will leave this "STS controlled planet" course behind, if we do the work to do so, but the course will remain for those souls who need to experience it, and it shall be there forever.

I don't think it's odd, I think you're insight is spot on.
I started trying to avoid the media a long time ago because of the continual biased information spoon fed to everyone. The more horrible the thing they are reporting, the more excited they seem to become.
I'd rather just find seemingly unbiased information online, and observe as objectively as possible what's going on around me.
