OM and 35007

The Living Force
Well, for those who miss(ed) the whole 70's psychedelic rock days, these two contemporary bands are filling the gap.

Picture ultra lenghty songs and deep guitars while watching the ending scene of 2001.

I'm new to this forum, though I dearly respect and admire the whole format (hyperdimensional "players", human psycho-social manipulation, biology, physics, alternative history et al). In this "trivial" (but deeply enjoyable) area of music, my favorites from the 80s and 90s were Sonic Youth, the Butthole Surfers (hope the name is not too profane) and Jane's Addiction. A few more current groups that carry on the old Yes/King Crimson tradition (as traditionally as experimental artists tend to mutate, vary and experiment) are Monster Magnet (prog-rock lite), Orb (not The Orb, look for Orblivion or Orbus Terrarum), Space Ritual (most of Hawkwind, minus Dave Brock and Lemmy Kilminster), The Flower Kings (not quite, but close to Genesis when Peter Gabriel still sang for them), Litmus, and The Earthling Society.
I've hung out with many mind-blowing garage acts, but by the sad yet beautiful virtue of being very heavy space rock, they'll never get any record deal whatsoever. Probably more enjoyable and meaningful (if less profitable) for that.

Regards,

Bill

Btw, any one remember "The Drunk Injuns"?
