A number of members have taken these psych/personality tests before (i understand if you groan) but as i'm still a bit of a "newb" & have only taken 1 test prior ("the F-Scale" started by Laura) to this, i thought that we might be able to glean some use from it/them.
I took most of them & did them straight - all together, this took approximately 30 minutes. I'm hoping that those members further along in The Work may be able to shed more light on any parts that are not so obvious, since some of what they're doing on some tests are fairly obvious. Here is the opening & the link(s):
"This website provides a collection of interactive personality tests with detailed results that can be taken for personal entertainment or to learn more about personality assessment. These tests range from very serious and widely used scientific instruments popular psychology and self produced quizzes. A special focus is given to the strengths, weaknesses and validity of the various systems." http://personality-testing.info
"The Levenson Self-Report Psycopathy Scale" (LSRP): scores from 1 (low) to 5 (high). Primary psychopathy calculates for me as 1.1 "Primary psychopathy is the affective aspects of psychopathy; a lack of empathy for other people & tolerance for antisocial orientations." Secondary psychopathy score:1.2. "Secondary psychopathy is the antisocial aspects of psychopathy; rule breaking & a lack of effort towards socially rewarded behaviour."
"The Big 5 Tests." (TBFT) The test (additional) with the pictures - what about the male to female ratio? I guess you just pick one almost immediately. I wonder about the similarities near the end of the "photo test" especially the noses & chins. I chose based on which i'd prefer looking at at length as the attractiveness thing is "off" anyway. Results- extraversion :2.9 (41%) conscientousness - 83% Neuroticism :3.9 - 81% Agreeableness : 4.8 - 91% Openness: 4.3 - 59%
"Narcissistic Personality Inventory" (NPI) Some of these questions made me smile! "I am an extraordinary person."! Score : 3 out of 40.
"Woodworth Psychoneurotic Inventory" (WPI) Emotional instability, bare in mind the context of this test/study & mesh with where you are in your life right now, i.e. internal consideration autoimmune issues, that kind of thing. I just wanted the results really. Score :24 out of 116. Higher scores indicate neuroticism.
"Artistic Preferences Scale" (APS) I enjoyed this one as i always wanted to go to art galleries.
The table shows : (R)ealism, (I)mpressionism, (P)ost-(I)mpressionism, (C)lassicism, (E)xpressionism, (B)aroque, (R)ococo, (Rom)anticism. Results :
(R)=10 (all out of 14) (I)=4 (PI)=7 (C)=9 (E)=4 (B)=4 (Roc)=8 (Rom)=10. The calculation gives me a preference for the Realist style - 6.5% share the preference. Although why it excludes my equal score for Romanticism i don't know.
"Jung Type Tests" (JTT) <extended> judging - perception dichotomy. The photo test (additional) is tacked on to this by the way... Result : Personality type - ESTJ. (No i am not !!)
"Consideration of Future Consequences Scale" (CFCS) Score : 54 out of 60 ("Less oppressive when drunk, tend to sleep better & have higher GPAs in school") an average is 41.4 .
I HAD to take the Machiavellian test! (Mach IV) Note: back to the blocks again... Score: 58 out of 100. Machiavelli would not approve. (best news all day then)
"The Holland Code" (good) results: SAI. Helping (S) creating (A) Thinker (I) (damn straight!)
"Experiences in Close Relationships Scale" (ECRS) Scores between 1-5 : Avoidance - 3.7 . "High scorers don't like opening up to others." Anxiety - 3.1 "People scoring high frequently worry about & are dissatisfied with the attention they receive. (Whoops!)
"Emotional Intelligence Test" (EIT) Score :21 out of 45 . (i was unsure about some questions mind) "better than 23.6479% (!) of people that have taken the test."
"Self-Monitoring Scale" (SMC) results : 10/25. "Indicates that you value staying true to yourself & are unwilling to modify your behaviour just to get the approval of others. You probably do not like to be the centre of attention very often." Yep that's me. (phew!)
