According to the working hypothesis of organic portals, it would be rather impossible for them to be aware of something that is outside of their level of experience. However - it is important to realize that there is nothing unnatural or wrong with this level of existence, assuming it does, in fact, exist - and it might not. It is a working hypothesis and, as such, it is always open to new and conflicting data.
For example, it is not possible for a bird to be aware that it is 'missing' hooves. There is no reason for a bird to have hooves, after all - so why and how could it be aware it does not have them?
As far as the 'lizzie' part of your topic heading - again - this is, at this point, a hypothetical area of discussion so such a question falls far outside the bounds of what can be discussed here with supporting data.
