OP's and trouble eating w/ heartache

The Force is Strong With This One
Was wondering the forums thoughts on Organic Portals response physically to emotional discomforts. While it has been my experience that when having relationship issues with a significant other it has often affected my ability to eat food I am not sure if this same effect is a response of the other race. I have read in the transcripts where they are refered to as very efficient machines but wondering how this applies to things of this nature. Is an inability to eat normally or lack of appetite something more than a mechanical reaction resigned for souled beings or just that a mechanical reaction?

I would guess that this applies to OPs as well -- lack of appetite under stress is something that I think occurs not only in humans but in animals as well, and if OPs are a bridge between 2D and 3D, it would most likely apply to them too. If anyone failed to suffer from this, it would probably be a psychopath -- but there is probably variation across the board. Why are you wondering, just out of curiosity?

I am definitely curious although that may be understating my interest in the topic. While discussing work with a former coworker I expressed the difficulty I have separating what's going on in my personal life and being capable of focusing and giving my full attention to the task at hand while on the clock. I find my thoughts wandering and in some cases an innability to maintain an appetite. My former coworker said that he has never been an issue for him as he is supposedly able to just switch off any emotional strife for the time being while concentrating on something else.

I'm not sure what to make of this ability to seemingly compartmentalize things and not have this type of stress impact aperson in all facets of their life. I am personally unable to leave emotional strife unattended to in my thoughts and don't think this is an ability I want to develop anyhow. While I have tried futily under certain circumstances it always leaves me wondering what may be different about those capable of such feats.

Hi that_guy, welcome to the forum!

Being able to leave personal problems at the door, and then move on to complete work, was something my parents taught me growing up. This started when I was around ten years old, big enough to be able to do dishes and set the table for dinner, and other 'chores.' My Father especially trained me to manage emotions and use work to either channel emotions to do a better job, or as a means of 'setting the crap aside' in order to get work done.

Its a skill, and it can be learned. :flowers:

Being able to control your emotions, instead of them controlling you, is something that is hugely beneficial to all. It is not that you no longer have any emotions, only that they are not in control of you. It is hard to think clearly, if at all, while riding on an emotional rollercoaster. Which is what happens when you carry the emotional baggage around with you.

Have you had a chance to read the Wave series by Laura? You can read the first four books here for free. I really suggest reading all of the series, though.

You may also want to read In Search of the Miraculous by Ouspensky and the Narcissism Big 5 books to help you understand the programs that cause you to not be as you are, and give you the help to get control of these same programs.

Also, doing the Eiriu Eolas program will help immensely in releasing pent up and suppressed emotions that you have been carrying with you throughout your entire life.

You may also want to address any dietary issues you have with evil foods such as gluten, dairy and soy, among others.

Thank you for the insight. My interest is in how the thoughts related to personal matters can be blocked out and not allowed to impact the attention and focus given to work. I am assuming that some people can actually do this when in fact everybody (w/ psychopaths as a possible exception) may be impacted to varying degrees. Are you able to entirely 'set the crap aside'? How did this training your father gave take place?
