I don't think it's an either or choice. One can read the book first and then compare it to the movie or vice versa. There are a wide array of learning styles, some work for some people and others work for the rest.
I'm looking forward to finding the time to watch the film. Maybe I'll learn something that I missed when reading it. In any case, I'm curious to see how the information was put together in a different medium.
Of course, it is not a substitute for a must read rather than additional material which I found interesting to share OSIT
