Outdoor Risks?

Mountain Crown

The Living Force
I thought I’d ask the forum for any input regarding outdoor summer activities after the nuclear incident at Fukushima. What presently are the risks, if any?

The North American Atlantic Coast has been compromised enough to be concerned about spending time at the beach?

Thanks in advanced.

The jet stream is the primary mover of air/ radiation particles from Japan across N America, so watching that would maybe give a clue from day to day. We seem to be deficient in accurate data about just what particles and how much at any given time.

Rain is a good carrier of particles to earth, and its not likely you'd pick a rainy day to go to the beach. Another thing to bear in mind is that dosage risk is cumulative, so maybe a day or two at the beach now & then would not pose such a great risk.
