Johnny Worricker (Bill Nighy) is a long-serving MI5 officer. His boss and best friend Benedict Baron (Michael Gambon) dies suddenly, leaving behind him an inexplicable file, threatening the stability of the organization. Meanwhile, a seemingly chance encounter with Johnny's striking next-door neighbor and political activist Nancy Pierpan (Rachel Weisz) seems too good to be true. Johnny is forced to walk out of his job, and then out of his identity to find out the truth.

I quite enjoyed this film actually, though I admit to having a soft spot for Bill Nighy (especially since Love Actually).

A little bit of intrigue, hints at how deep corruption runs in the government.

The sequel was good too (Turks & Caicos) and delved more into the influence of banking on work governments.

Yes, The one I saw s well done...not sure what it was called... took place in the Carribbean mostly with the Mafia building USofA facilities that tied in with the British front for the PM.... with Helena Bonham Carter and Winona Ryder, I think it was. Bill is a good character, and yes, especially that role in Love Actually.

I'd be curious to check this out as well. Have also had a soft spot for Nighy since Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Slarty Bartfast). I also heard an interview with him once where he talked about being a recovered/recovering alcoholic, and that he's been sober for something like 20 years or more. That alone gave me a lot of respect for the man.

This is an interesting interview with him from the New Statesman, which might lend a deeper look into his personality - _http://www.newstatesman.com/film/2013/09/bill-nighy-i-know-what-its-want-live-film
