Paleo diet TV series in Australia

Happened to turn on the TV at lunch time today, which I haven't done in ages and discovered a cooking/nutrition show called "The Paleo Way" https://au.tv.yahoo.com/plus7/the-paleo-way/ . Don't know the chef, Pete Evans ( he seems to be a dedicated Paleo dieter http://www.theaustralian.com.au/executive-living/food-drink/the-six-foods-pete-evans-never-stocks-at-home/story-e6frg8jo-1226992580246?nk=afb17bd030a02893a1d9959540331219, but the nutritionist is none other than Nora Gedgaudas. There is also an online site https://www.thepaleoway.com/ offering a paleo nutrition program.

Everything I saw on the show seemed to be comparable to all the other Paleo diet info out there, such as the right type of fats, omega 3 to 6 ratio, pasture raised meat etc. But you would expect no less with someone like Gedgaudas involved.

I am still a bit stunned to see this type of show on television, but good on them for this is surely a step in the right direction and a great way to showcase this particular diet to a wider audience. Not sure if it is shown in any other countries, or just Australia. Is there hope yet for a Keto cooking show?

That's interesting... and good on Nora.

Sorry the episode you are trying to watch is not currently available because it has not finished airing in your region. It will be available when it has finished broadcasting on television. Please try again later.

Also says something about not being enabling HTML5 player. Anyway, still good to know tho! Hope for a keto cooking show? Sure. Online. Like the videos that Laura made years ago on YouTube. :)

Pete Evans hosts My Kitchen Rules and also has a few paleo cook books.
Hate to admit it but MkR is the only show I watch on TV and it's due back 2nd feb . YAY

That's strange, the online episodes will play for me and according to the site they have already been broadcast on TV. This may only be in my area though and they may play at a later date elsewhere.

Think you're right about the keto cooking show, but at least paleo is better than a SAD.

That's great! Thanks for the tip, will01.

I did not know that Pete Evans was into Paleo, wow. I'll check out his cookbooks - there might be some good tips in there.

I have been watching a few of Pete Evans' Paleo Way episodes over the last few weeks. The first season finished last weekend, however a second season is now being made. I purchased his Paleo cookbook "Family Food" for $AU24 recently, but I have not had a chance to try them out yet. The recipes do look very nice indeed though! Still, it's great to see something like this go mainstream!

A friend of mine rang me to tell me about this show. I haven't seen it yet & I'm looking forward to it- it's rare that I find anything worth watching on TV these days. What I wonder about though, is how soon before the disinfo kicks in. I find it hard to believe that the PTB would want the masses knowing about the keto or paleo diets, & you can bet that Big Agri will step in, in a big way if they start to sense that people are turning away from grains. Profits before people is all that matters to these psychos.

Nifty find there will01! If Nora's involved, then I'll have to check it out! I'm interested to know how much they're able to say and for how long they'll be able to say it. Like Arwenn pointed out, profit before people will eventually win out if recent history is any indication.

Yeah, it will be interesting to see if there is a response from the PTB. Apparently there was a tour around Australia last year that attracted some big crowds http://www.primalbody-primalmind.com/paleo-way-down-under-adventure/. And this year in February/March there is another tour of Oz and NZ http://earthevents.com.au/thepaleoway2015tour/. So with another tour organized, they must be expecting a good response from the public.
