Past lives

Hello everybody,
I recently think of to get some spiritual healing to know who I was in the past lives and why am here and for what purpose, and to find some clarity about what has happened to me in this current life. I think it is our right to know these things otherwise being the world as a school doesn't make sense. When we are born, the pressure of karma, the effect of the genes we have inherited, the possible attachment of evil spirits or creatures, worldly teachings all go hand in hand so that we never know who we have been and why we came and where we are going.
I wonder if you friends could comment your wisdom to this issue.
Thank you

Well I'm definitely no wise man however my perspective on the topic might give you food for thought. So here it goes.

May ask of your plan about how to remember your past live(s) ? From what I understood a popular approach people use is hypnosis. However, how can you tell the difference between what your mind makes up in response to leading questions and such, and a true past life experience ? Unless you are able to cross check with historical sources, such inquiry may only lead to make-believe and won't help you with your current issues IMO.

I have to disagree with you on that point. The purpose of a school is to teach and the best way to prove to both yourself and the teacher that you've learned your lessons is to apply them to new problems/questions on your own successfully. The veil on our memory during incarnation is a fantastic opportunity to prove to ourselves what we may have encountered/learned from external sources before in a past life. Much like during exams, you don't get to have your notes and textbooks with you, the knowledge must be present within you and drawn out at the right moment.
On top of that, a seemingly "clean slate" at birth gives us the opportunity to explore new paths, new means of expression, thus gaining in much needed perspective overall. The same principle apply here on the forum by interacting with others.

I guess the simplest answer may be the correct one : we are here to discover, learn and share that knowledge. A slight minority may have a grandiose destiny but for most (including you and me I'll bet), the simple and karmic understandings are enough. Now, addressing your initial question, would knowing of our past lives help us in that endeavor ? I am of the opinion that true past lives remembrance (which, again, I must say isn't that easy to do) may help in very few cases but most of the time conscious and continuous work on the self during this life is our best chance to address any issue that plagues us during any lifetime.

In all, there's no shortcut from my perspective. Otherwise should I consider such thing possible I must admit I'll be tempted to chase rabbits down to Wonderland and miss a great opportunity to do something meaningful in this life.

Recto, your words clatify things for me, thank you!
some people says that they can send healing to and connect to subconscious. I have no idea about it and how it works or l can trust or not, that's why I share it here.
