Something perhaps a bit fishy about this. Initially the pilot told the passengers that it was an 'unidentified flying object' but shortly afterward said that it was a military aircraft. The incident took place shortly after take off, in that case surely there would be a ban on military aircraft entering airspace so close to a civilian airport? Also of note was the fact that the incident happened on the same day that an Air France jet was lost over the Atlantic.
