I recently viewed the 2013 documentary "Plot for Peace" (http://www.plotforpeace.com/). The film is about a French businessman by the name of Jean-Yves Ollivier who was involved in the release of Nelson Mandela from prison; from Wikipedia - "The film tells the story of Algerian-born French businessman Jean-Yves Ollivier's involvement in Cold War-era African parallel diplomacy, the signing of the 1988 Brazzaville Protocol and discussions surrounding the eventual release of Nelson Mandela. Using archive footage from apartheid-era South Africa alongside interviews from Winnie Mandela, Thabo Mbeki, Denis Sassou-Nguesso and Mathews Phosa, Ollivier (previously unknown and referred to as 'Monsieur Jacques') is revealed as a key architect of the withdrawal of Cuban troops from Angola and a 1987 prisoner-exchange programme involving six African nations."

This documentary had a very "Secret Team" feel to it as I had never heard of this side of Mandela's release. I thought it was fascinating and after watching it twice I still don't think I understood all the intricacies of the film. I highly recommend it!

It was produced with assistance from the African Oral History Archive - http://www.africanoralhistory.com/
