Politicians caught on video defrauding everyone

No surprise there, but it's still fascinating seeing ponerization caught on camera. As we already know, and this further shows, there are no "political sides" - democrats, republicans, all the same - psychopaths. Talking about how important "integrity" is out of one side of their mouth, and arrogantly and openly ignoring it themselves as soon as they are given the chance, and on television to boot!

I think this video is a good example of why voting does not matter at all, why nothing can be changed by trying to work from within this psychopathic system. The system is fully infested, rotten to the core, our only hope is knowledge on behalf of humanity - the established system cannot be used to "fight" the established system and its overlords. Our only hope is knowledge.

The question I'd have though, why was this video even shown on a mainstream propaganda source that in the next breath talks about a "key al-qaeda commander" being killed in Iraq (for the billionth time)? I mean, why now, clearly this is the way things have always been, and probably most of the time filmed and recorded, so why are they showing us this video now?

I think this can act as a safety valve. In order for the whole system to survive we are lead to believe that there are indeed flaws but that the system can deal with them.
Pointing to some "vilains" will quench the thirst of some for justice, thereby decreasing the pressure.

I agree. Just as with all the discussions, debates, and committee meetings in Congress--followed up with zero meaningful action--except by the press spinning out "sound bites" to perpetuate the illusion that something's being done to address our problems in the country.
