Popping corn with Cell Phones

Wasn't sure whether I should post this in the Diet/Health section or here but it seemed worth sharing, if mods deem it to be in the wrong place, I'm sure they'll move it.

It's a video of three different groups doing the same thing, putting their cell phones (3 or 4) in a circle around a few pieces of corn and then calling the phones..just to see the corn popping.

Here is the video, the title in Hungarian means: 'That's all for hi-tech and harmless cell phones!' (Ennyit a fejlett és ártalmatlan mobilokról! )

Hi Nuke,

I saw the original a few years ago and it seems to be a hoax. It might be worth-while to search the net for similar experiments and comments on the original.

I don't think a cell phone produces enough microwave energy to pop corn. It does produce enough to cause tissue heating and DNA fragmentation, and the evidence for the expected cancers and other diseases is there for those willing to see it.

Furthermore, I get the feeling that sometimes experiments like this are baited and are meant to get busted in the public so that people are less likely to believe, or look into things like the detrimental effects of cell phone radiation. I might try this myself.
