Post Filtering Feature Request

How about a feature that let's us show all new posts for today, or yesterday, or a specified date or maybe a range of dates?

The "Show new posts since last visit" link works all right. But it has its drawbacks/limitations that could be remedied with other post finding features.

In case you haven't noticed, at the very bottom of the Index page (front page of forum) are the following options:

"Show recent posts"
"Show unanswered posts"

You may find those useful, unless you already know about'em. I know I personally haven't noticed them for a long time and when I did I found the "Show recent posts" feature EXTREMELY useful. I used to just browse through every topic to see which one is highlighted to spot new posts, and that took a long time lol. It seems to be limited to the last 24 hours though.

It'd still be nice to be able to search for posts by date range.
