Premonition/Deja vu experience

I had this very disturbing experience...

early one morning... my daughter woke me up to tell me that a friend of hers had been stabbed and killed... she burst into my room and of course she was bawling...
the thing is that I HAD JUST DREAMT ABOUT HER BURSTING INTO MY ROOM AND TELLING ME THAT!

I have had many nightmares, and disturbing dreams in my life, MANY OF THEM, but nothing ever like this before...
I've had Deja vu feelings before, but never anything as disturbing as that. I've never told my daughter and have only told a very few people..

Was this a recent experience of yours or something that happened some time ago?

The content of your experience is disturbing stuff, but the idea that we could have precognition or knowing something in advance in dreams is not altogether out of the ordinary. There is a bit on the subject here on the forum. You might try doing a search on 'precognition' and nose around through the threads that come up.

This happened a few years ago... the dream was just an hour or so before my daughter walked in...
