Mosaic psychopath he is, according to Russian Chanel One TV station.

It's nice that someone comes forward with such provocative documentary, but where have they been for a decade withholding the information, while Russia was in honeymoon stage with Belarus ?

This diagnosis for President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko some observers have suspected for a long time, but did not dare say it aloud. However, in couple of days viewers could familiarize with it, and video can be found on the Internet, a documentary prepared by the state-controlled Russian television channel NTV. According to the authors of the film, the Belarusian leader is actually a "psychopath" and as proof of the objectivity of the judgments, the camera shows the conclusion of a psychologist, in which black and white: "psychopath" is written.

On Sunday, NTV showed the third part of his documentary series. Complete success, even in Belarus. Although the film is called "Godfather Old Man" (The Old Man - the nickname of the Belarusian ruler) was censored. According to the Belarusian opposition, this film has been viewed on the Internet by more than two million people in Belarus.

The documentary is a collection of mediocre photos (Lukashenko in green shorts on the beach in the Federal Venezuela; Lukashenko cross-country skiing while on holiday in the Austrian winter resort) and the serious charges: family clan Lukashenko rules the country, the president was involved in the kidnapping of many opposition leaders. Even the Western media - as an exception - to act as chief witness: According to them, smugly declares speaker, Lukashenko is the "last dictator in Europe".

The desire to settle scores in this documentary gives an indication of the nature of relations between Moscow and Minsk: relationships are bad, very bad. The Kremlin has absolutely no bones when it comes to rebellious and difficult to educating younger brother. In addition, there are going to be Presidential elections in winter of 2010.

Rebellious authoritarian ruler

Once upon a time many thought that Lukashenko seeks to unite with Russia. But times have changed. It has long been on the relationship with Russia is characterized by conflict and strife. This applies not only to emerging threats to cut off each winter because of unpaid bills Belarus supplies of natural gas from the resource-rich neighbor. At least from the time he refused to recognize the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, the former director of the farm with a mustache has managed to anger the Russian decent. In addition, its adherence to the Eastern Partnership program in 2009, during which an attempt was made to produce atmospheric turn towards the West, is considered in the documentary film as an anti-Russian thrust.

However, Lukashenko's flirtation with the West while in no way make him happy participants. This is too complicated Belarus's authoritarian ruler for the EU: despite the warnings, the country has not abolished the death penalty, on free elections, yet there can be no question. Lukashenko has not made concessions to the West. In one documentary NTV might be right: "a pathological desire to cling to power" - in this case, according to the authors of the film, the main sense of Lukashenko's policy.

I think Russia can't afford being to critical to Belarus because they are one of their allies and there aren't many allies that Russia has in U.S. containment. And in a way Belarus depends on Russia.
