Problems with FB SPAM

Hello guys! I know I have some of the forum members on FB and I had a recent problem with it. I was supposedly tagged by a friend on a post, I opened it and then my FB went all crazy, I deactivated the account so people don't get the virus, but not sure if that will help, if you can still see the post please ignore it and don't open it!

Thought it was good to give you heads up, cause my FB went all crazy after I opened it :( once again, FB is everything but safe :(

Yeah, it was strange. I didn't get any kind of notification on facebook itself, but it came through in an email notification that you'd tagged me in a comment.

When I clicked the link, it just said that the page no longer existed, but also that your account didn't exist any more either.

Thanks for letting me know T.C, it's even more strange that you got an email and not in your notifications directly.. hope no one from here opened it up! I'll better keep off FB for today, maybe that will help. :(

I think yes it was a virus :( if you guys have antivirus and you opened it, it may be better to scan the computer, bad luck for me cause I don't own one, I used a free one but the free trial is over, i'll wait for my brother to see if he can help me out and get my laptop checked.

Recently i received a Facebook PM with an attachment from an acquaintance but i didn't click it because he was already logged on telling me NOT to; his account had been hacked and was sending them out which probably had viruses included, which may do similar mass messagings to your own FB friends.

Thing is, you can feel a bit lax with FB as it seems to filter out a lot of this stuff - so it's a good reminder to be aware!

Yup itellsya I agree, from now on i'll be aware with this kind of stuff, I still haven't acitvated my account yet, i'll leave it like that some days just in case.
