Putin Recognizes Donbass Republics, Sends Russian Military to 'Denazify' Ukraine

Would not go as far as to say "controlled its implementation," however being critical infrastructure (Russian heavy asset), could agree that I'm not so sure they would not have been caught unaware of the threat and actions. If that is so, they may have had to weigh a response (knowing they can fix it later) in favour of sacrificing it to the PTB over protecting it from the PTB. Protecting it would be pretty hard to do without drawing the world lens upon them should some parallel operation take place in the process. Shots in the Baltic might have been need, so they may have anticipated further negative offshoots should their intervention taken place. As it happened, the outcome only dirties the latter PTB's hands in so many ways, which might wake up the EU (at least its people who are going to suffer in the end) while exposing the EU/NATO cabal further.
Actually, practically what you wrote is what I meant. The question of the name in my opinion. To know about the threat (I'm sure our people knew) and not take any action is a kind of control. I think that the whole situation, at least the air and surface situation in the Baltic Sea is controlled and now, after the event, our people have a specific list of technical means (ships, helicopters, etc.) that could carry out this rather specific act. It is quite possible even with specific surnames. In any case, the names of the captains of the ships are known for sure.
Why and why did our leadership do this? In part, you wrote about it. I also remember the words of C's on a similar occasion. The quote, unfortunately, is not accurate, but one day they said Putin was driving a tyrant into a trap. In my opinion, this situation with the "Northern Streams" is 100% suitable

From Sputnik and TG, there is an update on the US bioweapon research.

John Bolton Coauthored Strategy on Creating Bioweapons to Assure US 'Global Leadership': Russian MOD

Being updated
Russia's Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Troops have released trove after trove of confidential documents detailing Pentagon bioweapons programs across the globe, particularly in Ukraine. US officials and media have broadly ignored the revelations, but part of the information has been corroborated in independent reporting.

John Bolton, the Washington arch-neocon who served as one of the architects of George W. Bush's invasion of Iraq, and as former President Donald Trump's national security advisor before his resignation in disgrace, was intimately involved in formulating the US drive for global dominance in bioweapons research, a top Russian military official has indicated.

"The ongoing research in the United States to enhance the pathogenic properties of microorganisms is forcing us to rethink the statements of US officials in charge of countering biological threats. One such official is John Bolton, who [previously] served as the US national security advisor," Russian RCBP Troops chief Igor Kirillov said in a briefing Saturday.

"Consider Bolton's September 2000 report 'Rebuilding America's Defenses'," Kirillov said, recalling the paper's call for the US to take steps to maintain its military superiority deep into the 21st century. "The paper noted that to achieve a position of world leadership, the United States must maintain its military superiority, and one of the ways to do so was the creation of biological weapons. At the same time, the paper indicated that advanced forms of biological weapons capable of targeting certain genotypes could change the role of this type of weapon - from a deterrent into a beneficial policy tool," the senior officer said.

Kirillov recalled that John Bolton led the US delegation to the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention's Fifth Review Conference in November-December 2001. Thereafter, Washington blocked the functioning of the UN body's verification mechanism, as well as proposed measures to check bioweapons storage cites, citing threats such verification measures would pose to US "national interests." Bolton characterized the BTWC's verification protocol as "dead," and said it's "not going to be resurrected."

The MoD's briefing includes the relevant quote from the 2000 policy document, which would go on to serve as a blueprint of sorts for the Bush administration's foreign and security policy.

New Documents

As is typical in his briefings, Kirillov accompanied his presentation with a fresh trove of documents, including papers related to US efforts to build up the country's military-biological potential. Unlike in earlier briefings, which featured classified materials, most of the documents cited in Saturday's presentation are already publicly available, with the MoD's take focusing on analyzing the files and reading between the lines as to their implications.
These included the National Biodefense Strategy and Implementation Plan, a policy document published by the White House in October detailing US efforts ostensibly aimed at "countering biological threats, enhancing pandemic preparedness, and achieving global health security." Kirillov pointed out that the strategy has received $88 billion in funding for its implementation over five years, including $17 billion during the first year.

Pointing to the document's statement that "biological risk management requires understanding and assessing biological risks and taking steps to mitigate those risks, regardless of whether they originate in the United States or abroad," Kirillov cited this as evidence of US attempts to interfere in the internal affairs of other states.

The officer also pointed to US plans to continue the study of the pathogens of especially dangerous infectious diseases endemic to certain geographical areas, and efforts to cover up accusations of military biological activity by inviting the participation of civilian health organizations to work as contractors for the Pentagon.

"Thus, within the framework of the strategy, the United States intends to strengthen global control over the biological situation in the world, and reserve the right to conduct 'dual purpose' research, including outside US territory," Kirillov said.

Kirillov also pointed to the Defense Threat Reduction Agency's Strategy document for the years 2022-2027, whose unclassified portion similarly acknowledges the "dual use nature" of biological research, and prioritizes US and allied forces "ability to compete and, when necessary, win against potential WMD-armed adversaries," including by "highlighting WMD warfighting challenges and adversary vulnerabilities through strategic and operational analysis, and supporting DoD plans and exercises focused on CWMD threats."

The Russian MoD previously implicated the DTRA in a broad range of bioweapons-related activities around the globe, including the operation, funding, construction and modernization of biolabs across Ukraine working with dangerous pathogens since at least 2005.

Kirillov also pointed to the heavily redacted 345-page trove of documents recently retrieved by Judicial Watch through a FOIA request regarding the Pentagon's biological activities in Ukraine, including financing to Pentagon contractor Black and Veatch. The contractor and others like it received tens of millions of dollars to assist in a range of biowarfare-related programs across Ukraine, from research into plague and typhus to diseases targeting agriculture, flora, fauna and even certain ethnic groups.

"The published documents once again confirm the extent of cooperation between Kiev and Washington, as well as attempts to establish control over pathogens in Ukrainian laboratories through the introduction of the Pathogen Asset Control System (PACS), elements of which were transferred to Ukraine under the label 'property of the US Government'," Kirillov said.

It would seem that the US and allied bioweapons research work and intentions was on its own a good enough reason for Russia to do something in Ukraine.

The Belarusian Foreign Minister, Vladimir Makei, has died without explanation. According to Belarus-owned news agency Belta, Mr Makei "died suddenly" at the age of 64, having served in the position since 2012. 4 days prior to his death, Mr Makei visited Yerevan in Armenia, and just yesterday was seen meeting Archbishop Ante Jozic - suggesting the death was not the result of a prolonged illness.

His abrupt death comes amid rising tensions between NATO and Belarus, as Russia continues to deploy their troops in the country - and just a day after a think tank predicted that Vladimir Putin may attempt to intimidate Belarus into joining the invasion of Ukraine.

The Kremlin's foreign ministry said Russia was "shocked" to hear of the death. The press secretary of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry told Sputnik that Mr Makei "died suddenly a few hours ago. There were no signs. A great loss for all of us."

Russia's foreign ministry representative Maria Zakharova said in a Telegram message: "We are shocked by reports of the death of the head of the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Belarus, Vladimir Makei. Official condolences from the Russian Foreign Ministry will be published in the near future."

The US-based Robert Lansing Institute yesterday quoted sources from the top of the Russian military who suggested that Putin would make an assassination attempt on Belarusian president Lukashenko, "or its imitation".

The think tank claimed such an act had the aim of "ultimately intimidating the latter and prompting him to finally order his troops to directly engage in the war on Ukraine, alongside Russian troops."

ust days before Mr Makei's death, the Ukrainian Main Military Intelligence Directorate (GUR) also claimed Russian special services were seeking to conduct false flag operations in Belarus in order to drag them into the war.

However, the Institute for the Study of War refuted whether such an attempt would be successful, saying Belarus was unlikely to enter the war due to the "heavy domestic risk that involvement would pose to the survival" of Lukashenko's regime.

Lukashenko recently dismissed speculation that Belarus would join the invasion.

While Belarus has been used as a staging post for Russian attacks on Ukraine and Moscow has deployed troops and weapons there, it has not taken a more direct role in the war.

During a summit for the Russia-dominated Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Lukashenko quashed rumours of Belarus intending to engage, remarking: "We will add nothing to it".

He added: "On the contrary, we will make things worse. It is not Belarus' role in this conflict."

The president said that while Belarus is supporting Russia in other ways, "we are not getting involved, we don't kill anyone, we don't send personnel over there because there is no need for it."

A survey earlier this year in Belarus by the Chatham House think tank showed that less than a 10th of Belarus' population supported sending troops to participate in the war.

Majority of NATO countries exhausted possibilities of arms supply to Ukraine – newspaper

Among the states that are still ready to support Kyiv with weapons are France, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands
NEW YORK, November 27. /TASS/. Two thirds of NATO countries have exhausted their potential as regards the supplies of armament to Ukraine, The New York Times said, citing representatives of the alliance.
Reserves of twenty out of thirty NATO members are "pretty tapped out" but the remaining ten can still continue supplies, the newspaper said. Among such countries are France, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands.
The situation with armament reserves is particularly challenging for Poland and Baltic States, the newspaper noted. NATO countries in total transferred weapons to Ukraine worth $40 bln, which is comparable with the annual defense budget of France, The New York Times added.

Part of the official statement of the Russian Ministry of Defence (26.11.2022):

One example of such research is work being done in the United States to improve the pathogenic qualities of the pathogen COVID-19.

◽In October, for example, Boston University developed a synthetic coronavirus pathogen based on the Omicron strain and the original 'Wuhan' variety.

◽The modified virus acquired by the Americans killed 80% of infected model animals, causing abnormal neurological signs and significant lung damage. Antibody testing revealed an 11-fold decline in their capacity to neutralize the new virus, as well as the ineffectiveness of current vaccinations.

◽Despite the fact that the US Department of Health and Human Services has decided to investigate the university’s management, the 'Boston experiment' highlights the lack of government oversight of genetic engineering and synthetic biology research in the USA.

◽Despite the substantial biological dangers, the research was conducted with US government money and without the necessary authorisation from the national biosafety agency.

If anyone is interested, the Saker has a transcript of Putin's meeting with soldiers' mothers. There are some interesting stories from them in there.

Putin speaks at length with these women and addresses their questions about practicalities like equipment and uniforms, entitlement to benefits etc. in detail. It is clear that he prioritises the lives of their sons and truly appreciates their sacrifices. He explains that he has spoken with many of them personally.

As ever, Putin gives the impression that he is in a whole class of his own in comparison to leaders in the West. Years of watching them evade questions and avoid uncontrolled interaction with their furious citizens has instilled a deep cynicism and disillusionment here. Putin looks citizens in the eyes and connects with them. I truly get the impression that he cares, that lives are precious to him. This is the detail that is missing from so much of the analysis of Russia's military operation.

One quote from Putin (other than those which have already been shared here) stood out

But you know what comes to my mind, I already mentioned it once. We have about 30 thousand people killed in road accidents, about the same amount from alcohol. And it happens, unfortunately, this is how life develops, life is complex and diverse, more complicated than it is written somewhere in the papers, we are all under the Lord, under Allah, under Christ, I do not know, everyone who believes in higher powers, it does not matter what religion he adheres to, it is important that that we are all mortal, we are all under the Lord. And we will all leave this world someday, it’s inevitable.

The question is how we lived. After all, some people live or don’t live – it’s unclear, and how they leave – from vodka or something else – it’s unclear, and then they left. Lived or did not live – it also slipped unnoticed somehow: whether a person lived, or not. And your son lived, you know? His goal has been achieved. This means that he did not leave his life in vain. Do you understand? In this sense, of course, his life turned out to be significant, lived with the result, and with the one he aspired to

Imagine Zelensky holding a similar meeting with all the mothers who are demanding to know where their sons have gone, when are they coming back?

Edit - a video of the meeting is available here. It is over 2 hours long and I have not had chance to watch it yet.

Good post thorbjorn,

I agree with your final statement. I have found that the issue with these biolabs in Ukraine has been one of the most effective pieces of information when dealing with the programmed crowd that hates Russia no matter what. I have found that after we can find "common ground" regarding the insanity of having so many biolabs in Ukraine(and elsewhere), we can start to talk about other issues with this conflict that don't make sense.

Many opportunities to practice external consideration these days. And in the back of my mind, I have this small reminder; "what if they knew about the portals?" ;-)

US biolabs violate safety rules – Russian Defense Ministry

"MOSCOW, November 26. /TASS/. Breaches of safety rules were documented in high-security laboratories at universities of Washington, Minnesota and Illinois, Chief of Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Protection Troops Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov said on Saturday ahead of the Ninth Review Conference of the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC)."

"The general said that it was the conclusion of the US journal The Intercept, which in early November, under the US Freedom of Information Act, analyzed the data from the National Institute of Health related to safety breaches in biolabs in the US. In the past 18 years, more than 5,500 pages of incident reports were examined."

They've stepped in it now. They have pissed off the common Ukrainian woman.

Language WARNING! This woman is NOT HAPPY, and her colorful language would embarrass a sailor. Spoken in Ukrainian, with English subtitles.

Her three main point are: 1) how the rich millionaires of Ukraine are becoming billionaires and sacrificing the poor common people, 2) you need to negotiate, and 3) there will be a day of judgment before God, where your money is worth nothing.

Learning to fight. Now, what was previously considered unbreakable is getting lost.

The Russian military shot down the American Excalibur ammunition, which was considered invulnerable to air defense
Russian air defense destroyed the American Excalibur ammunition right in flight.

If until recently it was believed that Russian air defense systems were completely not designed to combat guided and unguided artillery ammunition, then it became known that the Russian military managed to intercept an American guided projectile on approach to the target. This is recorded for the first time.

"By means of air defense, two HIMARS multiple rocket launchers were shot down near the settlement of Bogdanovka, Kherson region. An Excalibur guided artillery shell was intercepted near the settlement of Miropole, Sumy region," the Russian Defense Ministry reports.

It should be noted that the key difficulty for intercepting such ammunition is their small size and high speed. In particular, the ammunition has a length of less than a meter, and due to the peculiarities of the trajectory, the probability of its detection is extremely small.

To date, there has not been a single evidence that such a munition has ever been intercepted.

During two days of fighting for Bakhmut, the AFU suffered the largest losses in three months
As a result of a sharp counterattack by the Russian military, the AFU suffered the largest losses in three months in Bakhmut.

Over the past 48 hours, the Ukrainian military, currently occupying Bakhmut and its surroundings, have suffered enormous losses. According to Avia journalists. For example, over the past two days, only the number of wounded in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and mercenaries in Bakhmut and its environs exceeds 500 people, while the number of dead can reach 200-300 people. The current losses are the largest known in the ranks of the AFU during the Battle of Bakhmut.

"500 wounded in two days. For today - minus three medical vehicles," Ukrainian sources report.

Given the fact that even Ukrainian information resources report on the extremely difficult situation in Bakhmut, the retreat of the Ukrainian army from this area, in all likelihood, may begin in the very near future, especially given the fact that the Russian military are actually preparing to take the city in a semicircle, cutting off the retreat to the west and blocking the opportunity to counterattack.
