Putin Recognizes Donbass Republics, Sends Russian Military to 'Denazify' Ukraine

Mekel and Poroshenko agree, the Minsk agreement was to buy time
In recent statements from Angela Merkel, that the Minsk agreements were to buy time. Poroshenko said something similar already in June.

The most recent mention in this thread was:
Vladimir Putin: To be honest, for it was completely unexpected to me. It's disappointing.

Frankly, I wasn't expecting it. to hear this from the former Federal Chancellor, because I have always assumed that the leadership of the Federal Republic [Germany] behaves sincerely with us. Yes, of course it is. on the side of Ukraine was, supported Ukraine, but it still seemed to me that the leadership of the Federal Republic has always sincerely sought a settlement on the principles that we agreed on and that were achieved, including within the framework of the Minsk Process.

What has just been said only says that we are all right. were done in terms of starting a special military operation. Why? Because, it turns out, all these Minsk no one was going to fulfill the agreements, leadership of Ukraine in the words of former President Poroshenko he also said it: he signed it, but he wasn't going to execute it.
On SOTT there was on June 17, 2022:
Minsk peace deal was distraction used to buy time so Kiev could militarise - Ukraine's former president Poroshenko
He made the comments in interviews with several news outlets this week, including Germany's Deutsche Welle television and the Ukrainian branch of the US state-run Radio Free Europe. Poroshenko also defended his record as president between 2014 and 2019.

"We had achieved everything we wanted," he said of the peace deal. "Our goal was to, first, stop the threat, or at least to delay the war - to secure eight years to restore economic growth and create powerful armed forces."

He cited Sun Tzu's stratagems as an inspiration for the deception. Winning a war does not necessarily require winning military engagements, Poroshenko said, calling the deal he made a win for Ukraine in that regard.

Poroshenko failed to be reelected in a landslide vote for President Volodymyr Zelensky, who promised voters that, unlike his predecessor, he would secure peace in Donbass.

In the interviews, Poroshenko spoke about his role in negotiating the Minsk agreements, a roadmap for reconciliation between his government and the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics. The former president apparently confirmed that Kiev hadn't come to the talks in good faith, but simply wanted a reprieve after suffering a military defeat.
While both Merkel and Poroshenko might say that the Minsk agreements were for buying time, just to claim they had deceived Russia, no really serious actions after 2015 were taken by any of the two to implement the agreement, so what they have said this year could in fact be the truth.

Because of Slava Ukraine!

Take it Putin!

So far only CNN and WP mentioned this Patriot Myth:

But in reality:

Because of the several months of training needed the Patriot would have been manned by NATO personnel anyway. Problem is Patriot cannot even stop Houthi missiles wrecking Saudi oil fields..

What kind of chance would poor Patriot have in Ukraine under the Russian hi-tech onslaught??

Also Pentagon doesn't have enough Patriot missiles to send. Raytheon and Lockheed Martin only plan to increase Patriot production up to 500 per year from the current 200, but that increase would take years. So if they must Pentagon will have to steal all current stockpiles from their current owner nations.. which would be not enough, since air defense teams usually fire two missiles to catch one Russian incoming rocket. But Russian rockets number in the thousands.. Even if Patriot could catch them..

Also the Patriot system isn't Fire & Run! Its like a large pregnant elephant, once it placed it cannot be moved away fast, so it will remain as a sitting duck target for Russian artillery..

The main issue with the possible supply of Patriot systems is not their effectiveness (or lack thereof) as air defence. It's the fact that they require a large and highly trained crew to man them. So the significance depends mostly on whether it will be NATO personnel rather than AFU. They would be directly in the line of fire if the system were targeted by the Russians (which they have already made clear is their intention). Then things could get interesting.

According to this article the personnel will be Ukrainian, trained in Germany. This takes several months, so unless it is at an already advanced stage then the patriot won't actually be in action any time soon.

There isn't really enough information yet, and I'm not sure I believe that the plan is to hand these systems over to Ukraine fully in that way. They might sell them to Russia! Or try to launch them at Poland or Russia or something equally stupid.

If he is representing views similar to Deep State, or Soros, Gates etc, what could the above lead to? Would militant left Deep State aligned NGOs get boosted, would politicians that are more Euro-centric get more coverage,
Even if so, it most likely wouldn't affect popular opinion, because such views are mostly platitudes that don't address the reactionary fear that the motivates the national populations in the case of mass migration. Simplistic approaches such as, "We'll build a wall" are much more likely to appeal to that demographic. The deep staters etc. have a problem in that the narrative they want to propagate has been shown in reality to be contradicted by the behaviour of a certain percentage of refugees. No amount of messaging can counteract the facts of migrant-perpetrated crimes that cause the reactionary fear and anger in the national populations to swell. So the only outlet is a political presence that actually gives voice to and does what the people want, which of course is totally against the PTB agenda. Fundamentally, it's a matter of the nature of psychos vs the nature of normal people.

I tend to agree with this. Recent SOTT emphasis in the article "Merkel and Minsk" highlights the following:

Merkel and Minsk said:
There's another reason to doubt that Merkel never intended to make peace: if she knew a larger conflict was coming, why did she go ahead with Nord Stream 2? Later in the interview, Merkel states that refusing to proceed with the pipeline in "combination with the Minsk agreement" would have "dangerously worsened the climate with Russia". This again suggests she believed that peace was possible.

What the author of that article didn't consider is that this works both ways. Merkel could have quite easily agreed to go ahead with Nord Stream 2 because the Russians could have become suspicious of duplicitous behaviour if she hadn't. So it might not be so much that she "believed peace was possible", as "she was trying to prevent the Russians from realising what was going on".

The Russian reaction to Merkel's gaffe is telling. Putin himself expressed disappointment, and his diplomatic relationship and experience with Merkel is considerable. The Russians are known for being circumspect in their statements concerning ambiguous situations, so it's difficult to believe that they didn't consider all the angles to this before making their public statements. Clearly, they think they were intentionally lied to.

I've never thought much of Merkel, to be honest. She seemed to be one of those politicians who, just when you thought she was going to do the right thing, turned around and caved to the imperial agenda. No real spine or substance at all. Her behaviour during the US wars in the middle east was sycophantic. Her approach to the Grexit fiasco was typical oligarch apologia. And despite her apparent cordial relationship with Putin, we find she stabbed him in the back over Minsk.

Good riddance to her, and good riddance to Germany's relations with Russia. I'm sure STRATFOR and the gang are pleased they managed to keep them apart, but wishful thinking is going to reap those psychos the whirlwind. And ultimately, it couldn't have happened if the German people hadn't, on some level, agreed with it. And look how that's working out for them now.

A gift that a Polish police commander received during a recent visit to Ukraine exploded at police headquarters in Warsaw, almost every media reporting it

"The exploded gift was presented to the chief commandant of the Warsaw police by one of the heads of the Ukrainian services. It exploded yesterday in a secret room of the security service, the commandant himself was slightly injured and has been in the hospital under observation since yesterday. This is reported by the Onet agency." Gift from Ukraine explodes at Polish police headquarters

"Poland appealed to the Ukrainian side for clarification. In the very room where the explosion occurred, the ceiling is now damaged. The investigation of the incident is conducted in a semi-secret mode just because of the security service premises - important things for the work of the police are stored there." Poland’s Sejm declares Russia state terrorism sponsor

"The resolution was carried by 231 votes in favor, while 226 MPs, including opposition parties, abstained. It calls Russia’s aggression against Ukraine a “gross violation” of the UN Charter and Ukrainian “sovereignty, political independence, and territorial integrity.”

“The Russian Federation must be isolated on the international arena,” the document reads."

"The text places “direct responsibility” on Russia for the downing of Malaysian Airlines MH17 over Donbas in 2014, as well as “the crash of the Polish Air Force Flight 101 in Smolensk in April 2010, which killed 96 people on board, including the President of the Republic of Poland, Lech Kaczyński, Polish government officials, senior Polish and NATO military commanders, and members of the Polish parliament.”

Life can bring surprising developments:

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration has confirmed that an explosion occurred at the Police Headquarters. The explosion was caused by a gift that Gen. Yaroslav Szymczyk received from one of the heads of the Ukrainian services. As confirmed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the police chief suffered light injuries. Earlier, police spokesman Mariusz Ciarka claimed that the incident was "not serious enough" to hold a conference.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, at 7:50 a.m. on Wednesday, "an explosion occurred in a room adjacent to the office of the Police Chief."

"It exploded one of the gifts the Commander received during his working visit to Ukraine on December 11-12 this year, where he met with the leadership of the Ukrainian Police and Emergency Situations Service. The gift was a gift from one of the heads of the Ukrainian services" - added.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs explained that "as a result of the explosion, the Commander suffered light injuries and has been in the hospital for observation since yesterday." "A civilian employee of the Police Headquarters also suffered light injuries that do not require hospitalization. The Polish side has asked the Ukrainian side to provide relevant explanations. The case has been handled by the prosecutor's office and relevant services from the beginning," the ministry assured.

A police spokesman said earlier that the incident "is not serious enough."
Earlier on Thursday, we reported that there was an explosion at the Police Headquarters building on Pulawska Street in Warsaw. Pyrotechnicians arrived at the building, and the head of the formation, Gen. Jaroslaw Szymczyk, was taken to the Ministry of Internal Affairs hospital for observation. The medical facility was closed for several hours.

Informants relayed that the explosion resulted in a crushed ceiling, which fell on the head of a worker working inside. He too was taken to the care of doctors.

An article by the Ron Paul Institute by: James George Jatras, with excerpts from Paul Craig Roberts and some Moon of Alabama posts.

I think it’s a summing up of the emotional part of the Ukraine conflict. After the weapons talk-who’s got what weapons, after the political talk- you’re a poopoo head! No, you are a poopoo head! Then comes the emotional state of the parties and sub-parties. And the slippery slope that comes with the fog of war. Which of course can get unrealistically out of control. Its speculation, so take it as such, but I think there is some value in this speculation as the future is not set in stone.

(Will the slow methodical moves of the Russians drive some of the hyenas of war mad? Causing them to do something foolish? Would rushing in to end it all now, have the same effect?)

A few excerpts:

"The key question, though, is this: Is the slow grind (versus dramatic and decisive knockout) less likely to cause uncontrollable escalation, or does it invite it?"

"Moscow wisely (in Whitney's view) is avoiding anything that could be a tripwire. (It’s fair to ask, though: if NATO/CotW is so keen on getting in, why do they need a pretext from Moscow? One can always be invented from whole cloth. Ask Iraq, Serbia, Syria... )"

"Paul Craig Roberts, on the other hand, suggests that Russian restraint sends the exact opposite message: that Moscow will tolerate provocation after provocation, escalation after escalation, which itself invites the very outcome Moscow seeks to avoid."

"Conversely, another correspondent suggests that Russian restraint is deliberate, focused on a long game toward Europe, especially Germany"

"Bottom line: what Moscow does next will not only determine the course of the war in Ukraine but whether the world goes up in radioactive smoke. Does restraint and non-response to provocation make the apocalyptic scenario more likely, or less? Conversely, would a rapid, decisive move by Moscow widen that window or help close it?"

Is Russian Restraint Averting the Risk of Nuclear War – or Inviting It?

When a roof begins to crash down, it is more than legal fireworks.

Wonderful commentary by Ms. Maria Zaharova :

"Carine Jean-Pierre: "If there was a way to exclude Russia from the UN Security Council, we would start doing it immediately. Unfortunately, we see no way to change the UN rules. And so we are focused on continuing efforts to isolate Russia and in international organizations and to hold Russia accountable, including through sanctions and coercive measures, which we announced today, as you saw."

If there was a way to destroy Russia, they would do it immediately.

If there was a way to take over all the oil, all the gas, all the gold, all the diamonds, all the drinking water and everything in the world, they would do it immediately.

If there was a way to take over the universe, they'd do it right away.

There just isn't, thank God. Otherwise, they'd get right down to it."

Right now. Anxiety is already all over Ukraine

The launch 8 of Caliber missiles from the Black Sea are flying towards Kyiv.
Launch of about 60 missiles from the Caspian.
The Ukrainian Air Force raised its aircraft into the sky.
💥 Explosions in the Kharkiv region.
💥Explosions in the Kyiv region.
💥Explosions in the Nikolaev region.
💥Explosions are thundering in Kharkiv itself.
💥Explosions also in Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye.

We are waiting for details about the goals.

There are videos with missiles flying over the territory of Ukraine.
Ukrainians were forbidden to film anything at all.
Information in telegram channels comes from subscribers from Ukraine.

Explosions in Zaporozhye, missiles flying towards Vinnitsa.
In Kharkiv, they flew through transformer stations again, again through important infrastructure facilities.
There are very loud explosions in Kyiv.
Arrivals Krivoy Rog.
In the Kyiv region, electricity is being cut off in anticipation of strikes.
In Brovary repeated flight.
Kyiv and Kharkov - explosions again
New explosions in Zaporozhye

I think it's a massive attack. But Zelensky, as usual, will shoot down all 120 missiles out of 80.
