Hello All

A friend of mine sent me the link for a documentary about Putin, it's was made back in 2011 by the BBC, IMDB Link below
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2131951/

It's a very informative series spread across four One hour parts, and deals with Putin rise to power from taking over from Yelsin up to 2011,
I've just finished the second and starting with the Third after I post.

Considering it's from the BBC, expect the usual western Ideological slant, but if you have the bullshit filter turned on, it's a very candid
look at Geopolitical reality, the attempts to demonizing Putin are laughable Really :) short example from the second part of the series and I'm Paraphrasing
spoilers

Putin, Russia and the West - Episode 2. Democracy threatens

The Episode Start's with Russia releasing Video Footage of a British spy Retrieving Data from a Fake Rock surveillance Device,
A Scene of Blair Addressing the Issue to the Press, making light of the situation, cut's to a pundit speaking about the matter, his opinion
we were caught with our hand's in the cookie jar, they must have known about the device for a long time and they were sitting on it for
political leverage, should the need arise. the Need arrived when, according to the Documentary Putin passed laws cracking down NGO's or "Pro Democracy Organizations " which Really just mean's that NGO's operating in Russia can't receive funding form foreign Intelligence Agency's.

The Rest of the Documentary largely cover's event's in Ukraine in 2003/04 and the Orange Revolution.
It's freely admitted that the Orange Revolution was funded by American NGO's or "Pro Democracy Organizations" but you really
have to keep your ear's open to hear it  The Implied point of this being that Putin and Russia were being surrounded by "Pro Democracy Organizations" cough, cough funded by Western Intelligence Agency's was making Putin Dictatorial, As evidenced by the fact he passed law's
restricting Funding to NGO'S/"Pro Democracy Organizations" operation on Russian soil.

The Cognitive Dissonance is strong in this one , But as i said it's very candid and relevant considering the current situation in Ukraine and Russia.

The first episode can be found on the link below, the rest of the series can be found there also

Thanks for sharing the link. I'll have to watch it later, but I did watch the first minute or so, and got a huge chuckle, when Putin thought the white ribbon protest was an anti-Aids campaign and that people had pinned condoms to their coats. :lol2:

Thank you for this sharing. Even if it comes from the BBC, it could be interesting to see the way they want us to thik about him.
And as usual, there is always a piece of truth behind a lie so let's see.

Moreover, all the notes we got here in the forum plus keeping the reflex to analyze carefully what you see and hear can prevent us to believe anything stupid, non-senses, lies. In another hand, testing all kind of informations is part of the work :D
