Questions about Greenbaum, etc.

I just finished reading the Greenbaum lecture in "The Wave". I have seen testimonies of this sort of thing before - but more of testimonies of victims.

>>>>HOW CAN THIS BE STOPPED???<<<<<

What can anybody do?

Perhaps therapists who are trained and are able to work with the victims are making the most difference.

But the thing is, I was thinking, is there 'relatively-more-conscious evil' involved in this? Certainly the victims are broken and fragmented - terribly UN-conscious - but even some are not completely destroyed - the ones who seek out therapy! Maybe this says a lot about the power of Good -- that it is able to rouse some of them to seek therapy -- like the story of the princess and the pea - she still feels the pea under all those mattresses!!!

But what about the "Dr. Greenbaum"s? The programmers? Are they victims of programming themselves, or are THEY the relatively-more-conscious evil? It sounds like there is some hidden lore on how the psyche works, and how to break it, that has come down through the ages, did this come from the Reptilians?

I wonder also about people who train animals to be violent, such as people who do dog-fighting. What is going on there? Does that work in a similar, though of course much cruder, way? Are there not some dogs who can be reached still?

What I am wondering is, is that from the influence of 'corporations' and TPB, our entire western consumer culture has morphed so that it 'creates' and encourages dissassociation in people during early childhood.

Infants and young children begin a regimented, compartmentalized life very early, going to daycare, then school, and while very young are indoctrinated by the highly seductive 'media' which, at the extreme, turns them into consuming machines who 'control' their parents into giving them what they want. Some parents just won't be able to compete with this and either flip out and use violence on their children, or else just keep appeasing, feeding the beast in the child, or maybe the parents are 'there' themselves already and have no problem sharing their drugs/sex/etc with their kids. There are parents who will even drug their children to sleep so that they will not have the problem of dealing with them. (I worked in child protective services.)

The breakdown of family relationships, the erosion of wisdom in the elders, and the devaluation and even scorn of elder-wisdom, the seduction by the media creates dissassociated children who will easily turn to drugs, gangs, and then the most visible 'way out' of this to those who are impoverished is to join the military.

In something that I read recently, so most likely it was something written by the-most-highly-esteemed-to-me, someone-I-am-truly-grateful-for Laura, it was about how Dr. Spock's methods popular in the 1950s were, I suppose accidentally, fostering disassociation! I would really like to know more about this. What are these things, and what do people do inadvertantly that fosters disassociation?

Actually I remember now something I realized about my mother -- that she could fly into rages - but then be cheery and gay and act as if she never raged, never give an apology or an explanation. And most very likely I had learned at a young age to go along with this - because questioning it brought on another rage. ("my way or the highway")

Something I learned along the way was that babies who cry and do not get any response become depressed. They are doing the only thing they can to communicate, and it is does not make a difference.

Thank you for reading this!

Hi lake_george,

You have made the same post yesterday ;

http://cassiopaea.org/forum/index.php/topic,1858.msg345482.html#msg345482 (that post has just been deleted)

Why ???

Hi Gandalf,

It seemed like no one saw what I had posted, because the only responses were in regard to the original post from years ago. I was trying to not have to start a new thread.

If people just look at the last post or two in that thread they will not see what I posted, but please delete this thread if it is superfluous.

Thanks for your answer. Your other post has just been deleted since no one has answered it. We will keep that new thread for the time being.
