U.S.-born cleric linked to attacks puts bull’s-eye on American civilians

By Maamoun Youssef
Associated Press

CAIRO -- A U.S.-born cleric who has encouraged Muslims to kill American soldiers called for the killing of U.S. civilians in his first video released by a Yemeni offshoot of al-Qaida. The video provides the most overt link yet between the radical preacher and the terror group.

Dressed in a white Yemeni robe and turban and with a traditional jambiyah dagger tucked into his waistband, Anwar Al-Awlaki used the 45-minute video posted yesterday to justify -- and encourage -- civilian deaths by accusing the United States of intentionally killing a million Muslim civilians in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere.

American civilians are to blame, he said, because "the American people, in general, are taking part in this and they elected this administration and they are financing the war."

"Those who might be killed in a plane are merely a drop of water in a sea," he said in the video in response to a question about Muslim groups that disapproved of the Detroit airliner plot because it targeted civilians.

Al-Awlaki, who was born in New Mexico and is believed to be hiding in his parents' native Yemen, has emerged as a prominent al-Qaida recruiter and has been tied by U.S. intelligence to the 9/11 hijackers, the suspect in the November shooting at an Army base in Fort Hood, Texas, and the December attempt to blow up a U.S. jetliner bound for Detroit.

He has used his personal website to encourage Muslims around the world to kill U.S. troops in Iraq.

For U.S. officials, al-Awlaki is of particular concern because he is one of the few English-speaking radical clerics able to explain to young Muslims in America and other Western countries the philosophy of violent jihad.

Al-Awlaki's direct role in al-Qaida - if any - remains unclear. The U.S. says he is an active participant in the group, though members of his tribe have denied that.

However, yesterday's video provides the clearest link yet between the cleric and the terror group.

It was produced by al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula's media arm, which touted the recording as its first interview with al-Awlaki. It also may indicate al-Qaida is trying to seize upon al-Awlaki's recruiting prowess by featuring him in its videos.

In the months before the Fort Hood shooting, which killed 13 people, al-Awlaki exchanged e-mails with the alleged attacker, U.S. Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan.

Hasan initiated the contacts, drawn by al-Awlaki's Internet sermons, and approached him for religious advice.

Yemen's government says al-Awlaki is also suspected of contacts with Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, who traveled to Yemen late last year, and U.S. investigators say Abdulmutallab told them he received training and his bomb from Yemen's al-Qaida offshoot.

In yesterday's video, al-Awlaki praised both men and referred to them as his "students."

Speaking of Hasan, the cleric said, "What he did was heroic and great. I ask every Muslim serving in the U.S. Army to follow suit."

Because of what U.S. officials view as al-Awlaki's growing role with al-Qaida, the Obama administration placed him on the CIA's list of targets for assassination - despite his American citizenship.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said yesterday that the U.S. is "actively trying to find" al-Awlaki.

"The president will continue to take action directly at terrorists like Awlaki and keep our country safe from their murderous thugs," Gibbs said on CBS's Face the Nation.

Ali Mohammed al-Ansi, Yemen's national security chief and head of the president's office, said in remarks published yesterday in Yemen's ruling-party newspaper that the country's security forces will continue to pursue al-Awlaki until he turns himself in or he is arrested.

Yemen has indicated that if its security forces capture al-Awlaki, it wants to try the cleric on Yemeni soil.

Al-Awlaki was born in 1971 in New Mexico. His father, Nasser al-Awlaki, was in the United States studying agriculture at the time and later returned with his family to Yemen to serve as agriculture minister. The father remains a prominent figure in Yemen, teaching at San'a University in the capital.

Intel chief: Al-Qaeda likely to attempt attack

WASHINGTON (AP) — Al-Qaeda can be expected to attempt an attack on the United States in the next three to six months, senior U.S. intelligence officials told Congress.

The terrorist organization is deploying operatives to the United States to carry out new attacks from inside the country, including "clean" recruits with a negligible trail of terrorist contacts, CIA Director Leon Panetta said. The chilling warning comes as the Christmas airline attack suspect, Nigerian Umar Farouk Abdulmutullab, is cooperating with federal investigators, a federal law enforcement official said Tuesday.

OFFICIALS: Accused Christmas Day bomber starts to cooperate

Al-Qaeda is also inspiring homegrown extremists to trigger violence on their own, Panetta said.

The annual assessment of the nation's terror threats provided no startling new terror trends, but amplified growing concerns since the Christmas airline attack in Detroit that militants are growing harder to detect and moving more quickly in their plots.

"The biggest threat is not so much that we face an attack like 9/11. It is that al-Qaeda is adapting its methods in ways that oftentimes make it difficult to detect," Panetta told the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Several senators tangled over whether suspected terrorists should be tried in civilian or military court. At the same time, a bipartisan group of lawmakers introduced legislation that would force the Obama administration to backtrack on its plans to try Sept. 11 defendants in federal court in New York and use military tribunals instead.

As al-Qaeda presses new terror plots, it is increasingly relying on new recruits with minimal training and simple devices to carry out attacks, Panetta said as part of the terror assessment to Congress.

Panetta also warned of the danger of extremists acting alone: "It's the lone-wolf strategy that I think we have to pay attention to as the main threat to this country," he said.

The hearing comes just over a month since a failed attempt to bring down an airliner in Detroit, allegedly by Abdulmutullab. And the assessment comes only a few months after U.S. Army Maj. Nidal Hassan was accused of single-handedly attacking his fellow soldiers at Fort Hood, Texas, killing 13.

National Intelligence Director Dennis Blair said with changes made since the Dec. 25 attack, U.S. intelligence would he able to identify and stop someone like the Detroit bomber before he got on the plane. But he warned a more careful and skilled would-be terrorist might not be detected.

FBI Director Robert Mueller defended the FBI's handling of the Detroit attempted bombing attack, disputing assertions that agents short-circuited more intelligence insights from the Nigerian suspect by quickly providing him with his rights to remain silent and retain a lawyer.

Mueller was asked by Senate Intelligence Committee Chairwoman Dianne Feinstein whether the interrogation of Abdulmutullab continues despite the fact that the suspect had already been read his legal right to remain silent. Mueller replied: "Yes."

Mueller said that in "case after case," terrorists have provided actionable intelligence even after they were read their rights and charged with crimes. Mueller said they know such cooperation can result in shorter sentences or other consideration from the government.

Mueller also said that a new FBI-CIA interrogation team created in August to replace controversial CIA interrogations had been used several times already.

That seemed to contradict what Blair told Congress in January. He said at a hearing on Abdulmutallab that he thought the interrogation team should have been used to question the suspect but later clarified his remarks to say that the teams were not used because they were not yet fully operational.

Intelligence officials confirmed Tuesday the High-Value Interrogation Group is not yet fully formed but said joint interrogation teams are available for use.

Panetta confirmed that the agency participates on the team, though not in a lead role.

"They're backup, but they are doing some of the interviewing," he said.

Hundreds of terror suspects have already been convicted in civilian federal courts, including convicted airline shoe bomber Richard Reid.

But Sen. Lindsey Graham, a South Carolina Republican, offered a bill Tuesday that would prohibit the government from using Justice Department funds to prosecute suspects charged in the Sept. 11 attack in civilian courts.

The move comes on the heels of the Obama administration's decision to rethink whether it would try self-proclaimed 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammad in a New York City courtroom.

The proposed law would cover people who legally could be prosecuted by a military commission, applying to terror suspects who are not U.S. citizens. By Tuesday evening, the bill had support from 18 senators, mostly Republicans.

During the terror assessment hearing, Blair also warned of the growing cyberthreat, saying computer-related attacks have become dynamic and malicious.

Obama has promised to make cybersecurity a priority in his administration, but the president's new budget asks for a decrease in funds for the Homeland Security Department's cybersecurity division.

The government's first quadrennial homeland security review states that high consequence and large-scale cyberattacks could massively disable or hurt international financial, commercial and physical infrastructure.

The report, obtained by the Associated Press, said these types of cyberattacks could cripple the movement of people and goods around the world and bring vital social and economic programs to a halt.

Meanwhile, not from the MSM:

JEFF GATES : Is the “Times Square Terrorist” an Asset of Organized Crime?

Why is no one reporting that “Faisal the Fizzler” is tied to Israeli-American Leon Black and Israel-dominated organized crime syndicates dating back to the 1920s? Why is no one reporting the ties to junk bond king and Israeli-American Michael Milken? How can Americans make informed choices without access to the real facts?

Faisal Sharzad—AKA The Times Square Fizzler—reportedly was trained by the “Pakistan Taliban” for a deadly deed that went horribly wrong.

Not only did he lock his keys in the car, including his apartment key, his Rube Goldberg contraption of alarm clocks, Walmart propane tanks and firecrackers failed to explode.

Apparently he was also expertly trained to purchase fertilizer that could not possibly explode.

Happily, Pakistani Evil Doers did not train him to drive. He could have ended up in New Jersey.

Somehow he found his way to one of the busiest streets in midtown Manhattan just as the United Nations—in midtown Manhattan—was preparing to debate a treaty to create a Middle East free of nuclear weapons.

Was that part of the story missing from the coverage you saw of this incident? Perhaps you were watching Fox News though for non-coverage any mainstream source would suffice.

That U.N. treaty, first proposed in 1995, would force Israel to forfeit its nuclear weapons, a goal first sought by President John F. Kennedy in June 1963.

What’s become of this Muslim Evil Doer after he miraculously found his way to Times Square—after miraculously eluding airport security during his 16 trips abroad to train with the Pakistan Taliban?

Though this well-timed incident added plausibility to a narrative supporting the “Global War on Terrorism,” the facts suggest that the Fizzler’s storyline has since become problematic.

Branded as “news you can trust,” CNN briefly showed a photo of Apollo Management, his employer. That photo appeared on CNN for about a second. End of story and no mention since.

Here’s the online Newsweek account of where the Fizzler worked from 2006-2009:

May 4 (Bloomberg) — Faisal Shahzad, charged with attempting to bomb New York’s Times Square, worked for three years at a company controlled by Leon Black’s private-equity firm, Apollo Management LP.

Who is Leon Black? And why isn’t his three-year employment of the Fizzler newsworthy?

Remember Major Nidal Hasan, the Fort Hood Shooter? His job history provided critical clues to understanding his bizarre behavior. Is that why he too has disappeared from the news?

Are the Clues Hidden in Plain Sight?

Imagine if the intelligence that induced the U.S. to war in Iraq was proven “fixed” around a preset goal. What if the common source of that treachery is poised to become transparent?

If you were complicit in a deception of that magnitude—a clear act of treason—how would you obscure the facts?

How would you sustain a “Muslim terrorist” narrative? And a storyline built on a widely share belief in the threat of Islamo-fascism?

What happens to the storyline if the pre-war intelligence is proven a fiction traceable to a common source? What then for the storytellers?

For those marketing The Clash of Civilizations, Major Hasan’s psychotic break at Fort Hood in Texas was a well-timed blessing. See if you detect a common component in these accounts:

* At Family Security Matters, President Carol Taber described this incident as “the Ft. Hood terrorist attack” by an “Islamist gunman.”
* Editor Pam Meister promoted “the shocking TRUTH (sic) behind these attacks so that we might ward off those yet to come.”
* Executive Vice-President Linda Cohen, who also serves as a trustee of the Anti-Defamation League, offered this advice: “No one is safe now. Not you, not the military, not your children, not office workers nor subway riders, nor anyone who happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

Why was The Times Square Fizzler at just the right place at just the right time?

Advancing the Narrative

Is there a precedent for combining aberrant personal behavior and “terrorism” to advance a preset agenda? Do you recall the sniper attacks around Washington, D.C. in October 2002?

That murder spree began one day before debate commenced on Senate Resolution 46 proposed by Senator Joe Lieberman to authorize the use of U.S. forces in Iraq.

In the immediate aftermath of 911, Lieberman and Arizona Senator John McCain urged that the U.S. focus its forces not on Al Qaeda in Afghanistan but on regime change in Iraq.

Meanwhile the nation’s capital became a city under siege when those attacks created widespread insecurity and heightened anxiety as serial murders left ten dead and three wounded over a 10-day period.

Those random shootings quickly transformed the emotionally wrenching terror of 911 into a personal reality for Washington residents, including U.S. lawmakers considering whether to invade Iraq.

Meanwhile Lieberman and McCain—citing phony intelligence—promoted the invasion of a nation that had no hand in that mass murder.

Assets and Transnational Treason

Was Faisal Sharzad a Pakistani patsy? In the psy-ops parlance, was he an “asset”? An asset is a profiled personality who can be catalyzed to act out known dysfunctions in ways that advance an agenda based on the time, place and circumstances of their behavior.

The facts suggest that Nidal Hasan was such an asset. But don’t expect to find this analysis in mainstream media. You will not find this on the Rupert Murdoch-controlled Fox News or in his many newspapers.

Assets are typically profiled and developed over lengthy periods of time. Their potential to act out a known personality disorder is held in reserve in much the same way that a military commander holds troops in reserve for deployment at an opportune time.

How is an asset developed in plain sight and “tasked” at the opportune time? Only a careful investigation can identify those influences particular to Dr. Hasan. That includes the decisions that led to his transfer to Ft. Hood and the circumstances there that triggered his behavior.

That’s also true for The Times Square Fizzler. While hardly the brightest light in the shed, he was sufficiently competent to drive a car though he may have picked up the wrong fertilizer at Walmart. God only knows where he bought the fireworks. Perhaps in New Jersey.

A similar history surrounds the Christmas Day Bomber whose failed exploit mirrors that of Sharzad. Rebranded The Crotch Bomber, this young Nigerian was helped by an Israeli airport security firm to evade detection in Amsterdam and board an international flight to Detroit.

What’s the common component in each of these well-timed “incidents?”

Who had the means, motive, opportunity and insider intelligence to perpetrate this “terrorist” act in midtown Manhattan?

Is The New York Times correct in its May 22nd editorial: “As the aborted Times Square and Christmas Day bombings proved, militant groups are determined to strike here again.” Is that what these incidents proved?

Is it sufficient to decide that this latest incident is traceable to the Pakistan Taliban? Does that evidence alone explain how such operations are pre-staged and orchestrated?

What role was played by Sharzad’s employer?

As a combat-stress psychiatrist, Dr. Hasan dealt daily with injured and mentally troubled veterans at Walter Reed Hospital where the most grievously wounded from Iraq and Afghanistan are sent to recover. Many of them are amputees, disfigured or otherwise handicapped for life.

While coping with that vicarious trauma, he was taunted for his Muslim beliefs and harassed for his Middle Eastern heritage even though he was born, raised and educated in the U.S.

What happened to Faisal Sharzad during his three years at Apollo? Did he encounter an experience similar to Hasan? Is that why the Leon Black story disappeared so quickly?

That question brings us to the curious history of Mr. Black, his investment banking firm and the question of what is proven by this latest in a series of high profile ‘terrorist incidents.’

The Mental Environment

The National Crime Syndicate convened its first nationwide conference in Atlantic City in 1929. That’s where the mobsters began to divide the U.S. into 24 exclusive markets in order to stop murderous disputes over territory that created unseemly political problems.

Those territories were finalized in 1931 at a Jews-only conclave at the Franconia Hotel in Manhattan. Five of the 24 markets were established in and around New York City.

The Outfit has long been a source of pop culture narratives, including The Godfather movies starring Marlon Brando and Al Pacino and The Sopranos, a popular television series. Both storylines branded organized crime as Italian or Sicilian with Jews playing only a minor role.

This is Hollywood after all.

To say Sicilian organized crime is OK. To say Jewish organized crime assures a charge of anti-Semitism—unless you’re Jewish. Then the charge is “self-hating.” Those remain the only two alternatives when speaking candidly about organized crime.

Estonian Kalle Lasn saw firsthand how facts could be displaced in plain sight by those skilled at targeting the mental environment. In March 2004, he published an article in Adbusters noting that while less than two percent of Americans are Jewish, 26 of the top 50 neoconservatives advocating war in Iraq are Jewish (52%). Those are the facts.

He titled the article: “Why Won’t Anyone Say They’re Jewish?” He soon found out. He was attacked as an “anti-Semite” for asking the question. Don’t ask. Don’t tell.

Yet the facts remain. The bulk of those who “fixed” U.S. intelligence around the predetermined goal of invading Iraq were either Jewish or assets whose careers were developed by pro-Israelis. Lasn’s subtitle for Adbusters, a magazine he founded: The Journal of the Mental Environment.

Could the mental environment be the target for this series of well-timed “terrorist” attacks that could plausibly be blamed on Muslim Evil Doers?

But first back to Mr. Black and a glimpse into the “fields within fields…within fields” of relationships through which transnational organized crime operates across time and distance.

Discrediting and Disabling the U.S.

Leon Black first appeared on the national scene in 1975 when his father fell to his death from the 44th floor of Manhattan’s Pan Am Building. Two years later, the son emerged as head of mergers and acquisitions and co-head of corporate finance at Drexel Burnham Lambert where he worked closely with Michael Milken, the firm’s “junk bond” specialist in Beverly Hills.

In the 1970s, Cincinnati’s Carl Lindner and his American Financial Group began investing in United Fruit. The name was changed to United Brands and then Chiquita Brands International in order to escape its notorious past. After the death of CEO Eli Black, Lindner assumed control.

United Fruit became a key conduit for moving Israeli arms into covert wars throughout Latin America, culminating in the Iran-Contra scandal of 1987. That scandal discredited the presidency of Ronald Reagan when he was forced to concede that his administration sold arms to Iran, an avowed enemy, and used the funds to arm Nicaraguan rebels despite a Congressional ban.

The term “Banana Republic” traces to the corrupting influence of United Fruit over decades. The U.S. was discredited throughout Latin America and the Caribbean by the firm’s bribery of foreign officials and its use of armed force to control and impoverish indigenous peoples.

Along with insurance firms owned by Meshulam Riklis and Saul Steinberg, Lindner’s American Financial Group was an early investor in Drexel’s high-yield (“junk”) securities packaged by Milken in deals coordinated with Leon Black in midtown Manhattan.

Riklis’ Rapid-American Corp. became an acquisition vehicle for Lerner Shops, Playtex and other companies such as RKO film studios, previously owned in part by bootlegger Joseph Kennedy, father of President John F. Kennedy. JFK was murdered five months after he sought to end Israel’s nuclear weapons program in order to avoid a nuclear arms race in the Middle East.

In 1967, in one of the first junk bond-financed leveraged buyouts (“LBOs”)—while Michael Milken was still an undergraduate at the University of California Berkeley—Riklis acquired Lewis Rosenstiel’s shares in Cincinnati-based Schenley Industries.

The Istanbul-born Riklis paid for Schenley with junk bonds issued by Rapid-American Corp., a firm that Riklis owned with Lindner. Under Lindner’s leadership, United Fruit’s purchase of 40% of Rapid-American reportedly provided majority owner Riklis and his colleagues with resources to purchase for General Ariel Sharon his ranch in Israel’s Negev Desert.

Rosenstiel’s wife, Leonore, left him to marry Walter Annenberg, Ronald Reagan’s “best friend for 50 years” according to Nancy Reagan. Annenberg also served as Richard Nixon’s ambassador to Great Britain. Son of Chicago mobster Moses “Moe” Annenberg, Walter laundered profits from the family’s racing-wire service through Triangle Publications, publisher of T.V. Guide and Seventeen.

Leonore Annenberg was raised by her uncle, Harry Cohn, head of Columbia Pictures. First married to Belden Kattleman, a Las Vegas businessman, she then married Rosenstiel. During Prohibition, Rosenstiel bootlegged liquor from England, Europe, and Canada via Saint Pierre and then by truck into Cincinnati, building what became Schenley Distillers.

Enabling the Networks

As the National Crime Syndicate was being formed in 1929, the racing wire service provided the sinew that bound together organized crime’s gambling operations dispersed across the U.S. and Canada and into Mexico and Cuba. As Walter Annenberg steadily distanced himself from organized crime, he steadily gained legitimacy and influence in Republican politics through his ownership of The Philadelphia Inquirer.

In 1989, Annenberg liquidated $3 billion of his wealth, including The Racing Form, in a sale to Rupert Murdoch. With those proceeds, he donated $150 million to Annenberg communication schools at the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Southern California.

While president, Ronald and Nancy Reagan routinely spent their New Year’s vacation at Sunnylands, Annenberg’s extensive estate in Rancho Mirage, California near Palm Springs. Walter’s father also gravitated to sunnier climes. After double-crossing a partner in Chicago, Moe fled to south Florida to seek the protection of National Crime Syndicate “Chairman” Meyer Lansky until he and his son relocated to Pennsylvania.

Fields Within Fields…within Fields

Why take you down this circuitous route in an account of the Times Square Fizzler? Read on to close the circle.

In the mid-1950s, former Phoenix mobster Gus Greenbaum managed and then sold the Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, one of the premier properties controlled by the Chicago Outfit. The buyer was Cincinnatian Riklis, a former member of the Haganah, a paramilitary outfit active in Palestine from 1920 to 1948 when it became the Israel Defense Forces.

Riklis tutored Milken, then a young bond broker, and reportedly was Milken’s first customer. Fellow Cincinnatian Carl Lindner emerged as a father figure to Milken who oversaw a massive “control fraud” at Lincoln Savings and Loan in Phoenix, Arizona.

The face on this fraud was Charles Keating who previously served as general counsel to the Linder-controlled, Cincinnati-based American Financial Group.

Arizona Senator John McCain led a group of five Senators known as “the Keating Five” whose delay of needed reforms raised the taxpayer cost of that nationwide fraud by an additional $50 billion, to exceed $150 billion.

Lindner boasts on the firm’s website that he is the “largest non-Jewish contributor to Jewish causes in the U.S.” Alan Greenspan, then a consultant to J.P. Morgan, was retained by Keating to help recruit the Keating Five.

Greenspan expended with that lobbying effort much of the political capital he amassed as chairman of a 1983 Social Security Commission (“the Greenspan Commission”). Its recommendation: work longer and levy higher payroll taxes.

A confidante of radical free market theorist Ayn Rand (Russian Alisa Rosenbaum), Greenspan reemerged as the Reagan-appointed Chairman of the Federal Reserve where he enabled the subprime mortgage fraud with sustained low interest rates and enthusiastic support for what this Rand confidante described as “financial innovation.”

John McCain wrote to Keating in 1983 after his first Congressional victory: “Of the many things to be grateful for in this world, the friendship of the Keating family is certainly among the most meaningful.” McCain’s top supporters included Keating and father-in-law James Hensley.

Here begins the closing of the circle connecting the savings and loan fraud of the 1980s and the subprime mortgage fraud two decades later. And, the facts suggest, the role of misdirection aided by this latest in an ongoing series of well-timed incidents by Muslim Evil Doers.

Murder Inc.

Notorious mobster Bugsy Siegel is widely credited with founding Las Vegas when he built The Flamingo, an early casino named after Virginia Hill, a mob courier girlfriend from Alabama who used Flamingo as her showgirl name.

The National Crime Syndicate maintained discipline through Murder, Inc., a cadre of hit men. When Siegel was found stealing from the mob, his murder in 1947 required that the syndicate relocate Gus Greenbaum to Vegas from Phoenix, leaving Kemper Marley in charge. Marley hired Jim and Gene Hensley.

After two close scrapes with federal liquor violations for which the Hensley brothers reportedly took the heat, Jim Hensley emerged with a beer distributorship that has grown to the fifth largest in the nation—owned by Cindy Hensley McCain. Hensley’s Arizona lawyer, William Rehnquist, was appointed by Reagan as Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.

McCain met Hensley, then 24, when he was the married 42-year old U.S. Navy liaison to the U.S. Senate. Soon divorced, relocated and remarried in Arizona, he worked on public relations for his father-in-law while being positioned for election to the Congress four years before Senator Barry Goldwater’s pending retirement.

After 911, Republican Senator McCain emerged alongside Democrat Joe Lieberman as the most insistent voices for the invasion of Iraq based on intelligence we now know was false.

Are these webs of relationships coincidental? Or is this typical of the overlapping links common to syndicate operations? Is this how organized crime is sustained through fields-within-fields of relationships that stretch across time, distance and, as here, both major political parties?

What does this have to do with the Fort Hood Shooter, the Crotch Bomb Sizzler and the Times Square Fizzler? Are these “incidents” typical of how war is waged in the mental environment by creating—and constantly refreshing—a narrative?

Does a renewed fear of terrorism help divert attention away from the latest massive financial fraud? And from the need for reforms that are not yet forthcoming—from either party?

Are these insecurity-inducing “incidents” a form of marketing to ensure that defense spending is sustained, an area? Is it coincidental that Israel is the world’s third largest arms exporter?

Is this how we persuade ourselves as a nation to assume more debt to wage more wars with no end in sight? Is this just business-as-usual for transnational organized crime?

Was the same criminal syndicate involved in the S&L fraud also active in the Enron fraud? The Dotcom crash? The subprime fraud? The failed “reform” legislation?

Did these massive financial “incidents” just happen? Or were they stage-managed from the shadows in an alliance between policy-making assets and transnational organized crime?

Did the war in Iraq emerge as a natural reaction to the provocation of 911? Or was the invasion anticipated and pre-staged, with 911 the plausible catalyst for a long-planned agenda?

Whose Agenda?

In 1948, the Joint Chiefs of Staff cautioned Harry Truman against granting sovereign recognition to an extremist enclave that was already using ethnic cleansing to terrorize the indigenous population and occupy their lands.

Their rationale: Palestinian land was rightly theirs as The Chosen because it was given to them—by a God of their own choosing.

Truman was warned by U.S. military leaders about the “fanatical concepts of the Jewish leaders” and their plans for “Jewish military and economic hegemony over the entire Middle East.” Truman chose not to follow their advice nor that of his Secretary of State, former General George C. Marshall who viewed recognition as a geopolitical blunder.

Did military leaders fail to grasp the depth of the threat posed by these extremists to U.S. national security? Did these “fanatical concepts” include a plan to deceive the U.S. so that we would deploy our military to pursue their agenda for dominance in the region?

Working as a transnational criminal syndicate, did these extremists collaborate to endanger the U.S. economy with debt?

Could the criminal roots of this operation explain why we hear nothing about Leon Black’s employment of the Times Square Fizzler?

Is the sound of silence speaking to us with an eloquence we do not yet understand?

The Fear Factor seems to be increasing from multiple sources: oil spill disaster with possible evacuation with either national guard (which might be sent out of country beforehand) or foreign/UN troop involvement, mysterious disease outbreak, terror attack warning/prediction, national/global economic woes/possible collapse, inexplicable worldwide stabbings/murders - now I wonder at what point the (fake) alien invasion is scheduled to begin? Before or after a few more earthquakes and/or volcanic eruptions thrown into the mix? It's sure starting to look like a propagated end times scenario to me! And our (fake) alien saviors will show up just in time to save the desired reduced population - those that survive the FEMA evacuation camps that is! This is not looking good at all!!! I sure hope the next Cs session imparts some well needed optimism into this gloomy forecast!

Re: Ramping up the Terror card

Hello there again! Thank you for your post.
I have not had time to read your entire post, but I get the gist of it. I am starting to feel that living 15-20 miles from the nearest town(s) might just be the ticket afterall, despite feeling isolated at times. I wonder if a Mad Max scenario is going to unfold before The Wave comes? I want to hear what the C's have to say on this as well. Have you tried EE yet? I have been doing it about 2 times a week now. It really seems to help when FEAR/ attacks? hit me (in the chest) in the middle of the night especially. I would like to know how many forum members live on homesteads or farms!

Re: Ramping up the Terror card

I can't remember where I heard; that to "get away", one must live at least two(2) days walk from cities. For most people give up at two(2) days walk.

Re: Ramping up the Terror card

Then again, the C's (since you ask) have said that it is not where you are, but who you are and what you see...

Re: Ramping up the Terror card

I felt that fear factor increase and acceleration of world events lately too Jeep. What can we do, we don't control those events and sitting on the front row seat make me feel uncomfortable some time. Still, remember that all is lessons and that knowledge protect and of course remember to stay as gentle as a dove but as wise as a serpent.

Excellent reading by Jeff Gates there JEEP!

Thanks for finding that, I'm gonna share this on FB!

I feel the same Pete02 - that article made my head spin with all the connections among well-known and notorious people and politicians. Who knew organized crime was really Jewish? I thought they were just the bankers and the accountants! He does an incredible job of connecting the dots and closing the circle. I'm still rather stunned by what he revealed as one can finally see how it all plays out. So yeah - share it with as many people as possible! Knowledge protects!

Well, it appears Sott has discovered Gordon Duff and Jeff Gates in a big way. Maybe this thread should be renamed for those two because here is another eye-opeining gem from Gordon:

Gordon Duff: “Flintstone” Weapons And “Custer” Tactics Rake In Billions For War Profiteers

How the Dimmest and Dumbest Give us their Worst
Losing Wars and Promoting Chaos for Profit

By Gordon Duff STAFF WRITER/Senior Editor

A recent analysis has shown the 40 year old American M-16 rifle to be a failure in Afghanistan. The weapon that caused more American deaths in Vietnam than the enemy is still junk technology today, even with its Star Wars derivitives. The result is still “Palinesque” or as I would call it, “lipstick on a pig.” The wrong design, the wrong cartridge, no range, no stopping power and poor reliability, 40 years of failure in the most important area of the battlefield, our combat rifle. This wasn’t an accident but part of our defense tradition, fighting wars with junk, fighting wars meant to eat money, put fighting men and women under the dirt, fighting wars meant to go on forever, as long as the money flows. A new study, over 40 years late, challenges our basic infantry weapon’s effectiveness:

The U.S. military’s workhorse rifle — used in battle for the last 40 years — is proving less effective in Afghanistan against the Taliban’s more primitive but longer range weapons. As a result, the U.S. is reevaluating the performance of its standard M-4 rifle and considering a switch to weapons that fire a larger round largely discarded in the 1960s.

The M-4 is an updated version of the M-16, which was designed for close quarters combat in Vietnam. It worked well in Iraq, where much of the fighting was in cities such as Baghdad, Ramadi and Fallujah. But a U.S. Army study found that the 5.56 mm bullets fired from M-4s don’t retain enough velocity at distances greater than 1,000 feet (300 meters) to kill an adversary. In hilly regions of Afghanistan, NATO and insurgent forces are often 2,000 to 2,500 feet (600-800 meters) apart.

The recent fiascoes of battlefield corruption began in Iraq in 2003. The website, Soldiers for the Truth, formerly run by Colonel David Hackworth, one of America’s greatest heroes, began reporting that our body armor was ineffective, ill fitting, overpriced and part of a fraud driven by the Pentagon “revolving door,” the tradition of serving officers in acquisitions moving into suppliers they were supposed to have been regulating, upon retirement. Stories of falsified tests came out, still the military tried to prosecute troops whose families spent thousands on quality protective gear such as Dragonskin (TM) armor.

Hundreds died because of this and we eventually got better equipment but only after tens of millions lined the pockets of people who belong in prison. Nothing was done. Surprise, surprise.

America’s most famous failure is the Bradley Fighting Vehicle, something we still use. Newer versions have some armor upgrades and work part of the time, but the Bradley has never been more than a rolling target, the most expensive fiasco in military history. HBO made a film about the selection process for the Bradley called The Pentagon Wars. It was a comedy.

Our new “secret weapon,” the Stryker, a rehashed Swiss designed vehicle from the 70s, has one real value, cheap rubber tires. These “battleships of the highway” lay as burned hulks across Iraq and Afghanistan, another “lipstick on a pig” weapons system.

The problem is much wider, much deeper than simply sending our troops into the field to face rocket propelled grenades in Humvee’s with canvas doors than couldn’t stop arrows. Every aspect of our defense has been hard wired to fail for one reason or another, let’s look at some of these.

BORDER PROTECTION AND THE SECURITY RACKET

The Army Corps of Engineers can build a barrier around Gaza for Israel but each day, thousands of illegal aliens, many drug runners and criminals, some even terrorists, flood into the US. You would think we can’t see or hear them, that they sneak through tunnels and are invisible in the desert. You couldn’t be more wrong. America’s defense companies have received billions to develop technologies that, not only see hundreds of miles into Mexico, using advanced optics and specialized radars but systems on tethered balloons give us warning of anyone approaching from so far away that this information is highly classified, yet we fail to either protect or react.

Even this isn’t the real story, the technologies we have deployed already, the ones we seem to ignore and misuse, the ones that give evidence that filling the country with illegal aliens may not be an accident, aren’t the only scandals tied to this disaster tearing America apart.

WHAT WE CAN DO BUT DON’T

Billions have been spent on technologies that integrate into systems that can protect, not only borders, airports or entire nations, they can be deployed on the battlefield to recognize combatants and terrorists among civilian populations. However, our most advanced technologies are decades old, long superceded by systems suppressed because of, well, the fact they are actually too effective.

These “war changing” technologies have been available for years but have been purposefully suppressed, while we chose to use either nothing or 1960s rehashed junk. The companies developing new technologies, not only receive no help at all, no contracts and no interest, many are subjected to attacks on their stock, their lines of credit and are pushed to destruction. One thing has become clear, if you are developing anything that actually will win a war or solve a problem, your company will suffer the same fate as the mysterious “run your car on water” companies did years ago.

What can we do? One technology alone, called “hyper spectral analysis” can close the US Border overnight at almost no cost at all. These are visual sensors that deploy on vehicles that link together with databases, software and capabilities long ready for deployment, that can recognize any individual, bio-metrically “tag” them for life and either track them for immediate detention or follow their every move through cities, airports or across battlefields.

These units can scan airport passengers from hundreds of yards away for, not only weapons and explosives but for diseases, bio-weapons and false identities. They can find a Taliban fighter, beard shaved and no weapon, on a street corner in Kabul, they can pick out an illegal alien in a Detroit shopping mall or close 50 miles of border, even in rough terrain, in less than a day. This isn’t the only “beyond space age” technology we have, this is just the worst offender as it is deliverable and cheap and insanely effective.

It would eliminate billions of dollars of airport scanners and useless technologies, long meant to fail, that enrich people like Michael Chertoff and the companies producing “junk science” in a box, many of them Israeli. The biggest “commercial” for this failed industry was the “Crotch Bomber” incident in Detroit. Follow the money, the fingerprints are all over this one.

EVEN MORE

Few Americans get to see the “war plans” to stop piracy off Somalia. It is almost amusing if it weren’t a dangerous situation. Not only is the piracy itself a result of bad policy decisions by the Bush administration but hundreds of millions are being made banking ransom payments and in the marine insurance industry. Much more is being made in keeping dozens of ships on station or in sending secret “contractors” against the pirates as part of “Rube Goldberg” schemes.

Our plans have involved running up and down hundreds of miles of coast when the pirates themselves come from a very small areas, easily observed, pirates that could be intercepted minutes after they enter international waters. America has tested using LTA platforms, we call them blimps, that carry advanced optics and radar, are low cost and devastatingly effective. These vehicles, designed by Airship Management Company and used by the US Coast Guard and Navy, are so effective they can be a “game changer” in dozens of key areas of the world. Using advanced optics and radars, they are a combination of UAV and AWAC. They just don’t cost enough and are too effective. No pirates, no pirate problem, no pirate problem profits. End of story.

HOW WE STARTED DOWN THIS ROAD

I blame the Air Force during the Eisenhower era. Every pilot wants to retire a general. The Air Force seems to exist for that. A US Senator with no military capabilities at all can get into an Air Force unit and become a colonel in days. Check out Senator Lindsay Graham, Air Force lawyer, openly gay and promoted over dozens of highly qualified combat vets. He isn’t the only one, simply the laughing stock of the Air Force.

The problem, a problem that nearly destroyed the United States grew out of a desire to build bombers when the Russians were developing missiles. It was the old “taking a knife to a gunfight” scenario. We ended up a decade behind in technology with rehashed German WW2 technology while Russians had put satellites in orbit, men in space and could drop nukes on any American city. This wasn’t the Air Force’s first “dance” with the Russians. We went into Korea with propeller fighters and primitive jets against the advanced Mig 17, a plane that could fly rings around anything we every brought into that war including the F 86 Sabre.

OUR “SPECIAL OPS/IRREGULAR WARFARE” ADDICTION

“Whoom,” like a giant vacuum, all of our leaders, our brightest soldiers are sucked into the “black hole” of our endless special operations commands. Speak 5 languages, can shoot a quarter out of the air blindfolded, we are dropping you into a rathole village in the middle of nowhere. What we don’t say, however, is that the intelligence you are given is false, your mission is a joke and you are only being put in harms way, facing death at the hands of a 10 year old child using a Soviet weapon, probably better than yours, that was paid for by American taxpayers. Currently, over 250,000 “state of the art” Russian assault rifles “went missing” in Iraq, all paid for by the United States.

America has become addicted to elitism, forming group after group with overlapping missions. Every service has some type of commando, all basically a rehash of the Marine Corps. Because we have them, we use them, not because there is a need, not because there is a mission, simply because we have them. In the end, we fracture our military, duplicate capabilities, capabilities that we have seen time and time again were never needed in the first place. We have spent billions building forces meant to fight scenarios that exist only in movies and video games.

One thing for certain, drop a small group of people somewhere and some idiot, perhaps more than a few, will show up to kill them. Welcome to the world of “irregular warfare.”

NATION-BUILDING FOR FAILURE AND PROFIT

How can you tell a country has been “saved” by the United States? They have rigged elections, leaders they hate, no electricity, dirty water, massive drug production, corruption everywhere, suicide bombers on every corner and a permanent civil war.

What do you think our Washington “think tanks” teach us? Whenever America “fails” what other country gains? The third largest arms exporter in the world is Israel, a country that controls the organizations responsible for most of Amerias “strategic planning.” We give billions, much of it “under the table,” to ultra-wealthy Israel while millions of American children can’t afford dental care. Israeli children have dental care.

In Afghanistan, every weapon, every bullet, every explosive used against American troops has been paid for by the United States and either supplied by us or one of our “allies.” For years, Pakistan has been pouring evidence of Indo-Israeli support for the Tabiban, reports shelved and shredded by intelligence agencies ordered to “look the other way” even when New York City is attacked.

IRAN, “YOU’LL LOVE THIS ONE”

Iran is one of the wealthiest and, at one time, one of the most westernized states in the Middle East. Their current ruler, another Ayatollah and President Ahmadinejad face massive opposition inside their own country and among the millions of Iranians who fled that country because they couldn’t stand living somewhere run by a extremists belonging to an Islamic sect considered “heretical” by most Muslims. So, how is this unpopular government, a government that has run a massive oil producing country deep into debt, in power?

The United States, with the help of Israel, are propping up Ahmadinejad.

Holding office only due to massive election fraud (perhaps they have electronic voting machines there too, like Florida and Ohio), the current extremely unpopular regime in Iran stays in power only because of continual rhetoric from the US and Israel, rhetoric threatening sneak attacks and invasion. Without this deluge of empty threats, Iran might be asking for NATO membership. The last “semi-credible” enemy, or as the Bush administration loved calling it, “axis of evil” member in the Middle East, preserving Iran as an enemy is vital to the defense industry. With every other country in the region either a US ally, militarily helpless or occupied, only Iran can be used as a justification for the massive US military presence in the region.

That Iran has no capability of projecting power and has no offensive weaponry nor any remote capability of operating beyond their own borders is never spoken of. What Iran does have is a very large population of people who want their own government gone, are willing to risk their lives in the process and deeply resent efforts by the US and Israel to promote an oppressive and incompetent government that has made their lives a living hell. Conspiracy theorists have long put forth rumors that Ahmadinejad is an Israeli “asset.” Were this true, it might explain a lot.

DRUG POLICY IN AFGHANISTAN, SCHIZOPHRENIA GONE WILD

For years, Americans were told the Taliban and “Al Qaeda” were financed by the poppy fields of Afghanistan. Billions of dollars were spent to eradicate drug production in Afghanistan, which grew from “nothing at all” to massive levels, with increases every year. In fact, the more we spent to “eradicate” the more production increased. Colonel Eugene Khrushchev says the following about US policy in Afghanistan:

“The new American drug policy is easy to understand. America is telling the world it can no longer eradicate opium/heroin production because “poor farmers” are going to suffer. In truth, the poppy fields America now protects are run by drug lords with ties to the Karzai regime. America is building a narco-mafia behind the government of Afghanistan tied to an unsound and corrupt policy being peddled by the Special Envoy, Richard Holbrooke.

The US has no plans to eradicate drug production in Afghanistan, production they and everyone else claims is funding the Taliban and is certainly pumping 65 billion dollars into somebody’s hands. This is what NATO commander, Gen. Stanley McChrystal has decided to do:

McChrystal’s solution is to set up a “slush fund” to pay off the Majah opium poppy growers. What this is doing is to dismantle any real counter-narcotics program the DEA and SOF were supposedly implementing. What we are learning is that the US State Department, for reasons unknown and unknowable, wants to manage Afghanistan as a crime ridden “narco-state” for the foreseeable future.

What the Secretary of State called “the best decision in the face of an array of less-than-perfect options” has set in motion the worst-case nightmare scenario – a boon for the drug lords, a bane for the drug busters.

As the story goes, the Marines ought to cash in $12 million from the Commander’s Emergency Response Program – “to disrupt the Afghan opium harvest”. The whole scheme is a total scam, nothing is “disrupted,” far from it. In fact the policy is much closer to “agricultural support and subsidy,” with the product being death dealing narcotics and the goal almost too insidious to imagine.

Here are the main fraudulent premises of the swindle – political & financial – attributed to the US administration as outlined in the Washington Post:

• “Eradication would drive farmers into the hands of the insurgency”

• “Poppy farmers are poor creatures who face economic peril if they cannot harvest or sell their crops”

These disinformation sound bites betray the Holbrooke hallmark and are adroitly exploited by narco-insurgency propaganda. Ambassador Thomas Schweich, a former US top drug buster in Afghanistan, exposed this drug lobby guerilla marketing in his seminal article “Is Afghanistan a Narco-State?” in the NYT way back in July 27, 2008:

“UNODC shattered the myth that poppies are grown by destitute farmers…Eighty percent of the land under poppy cultivation in the south had been planted with it only in the last two years …these farmers didn’t need an alternative livelihood. They had abandoned their previous livelihoods…to take advantage of the security vacuum [which coincides with UK military presence] to grow a more profitable crop: opium…Yet Afghan officials continued to say that poppy cultivation was the only choice for its poor farmers.” (p.4)

How does the world’s largest money laundering scheme and the world’s largest narcotics distribution network totally escape American attention in Afghanistan? This isn’t America’s first “dance” in this arena, with a massive drug war on its border with Mexico and decades of efforts in South America having little or no effect.

We are also ignoring decades of substantive reports of CIA involvement in using narcotic trafficking to fund covert operations. You can’t turn on a TV without seeing this mentioned, the CIA-drug connection is a major part of American culture. Former FBI translator, Sibel Edmond’s testimony of US involvement in shipping drugs from Afghanistan on rendition flights has proven to be widely reliable and has received key support from members of the military and intelligence community.”

MARKETING CHAOS

Warnings about the “military industrial complex” started with Washington, were carried into the 20th century by General Smedley Butler and our sternest warnings came from President Eisenhower. The warnings were clear, given free rein, all power will flow into the hands of racketeers, gangsters given the power to push America into war for profit, profit from weapons, profit from stolen resources and, worst of all, geopolitical manipulation meant to keep the world in continual war and chaos.

With America’s government and those of key allies beholding to defense and oil money, subject to media under the control of “war fed” corporations and manipulative foreign governments, security and peace has become undesirable and thus, unattainable.

With permanent war as a business, global policies leading to cohesion and stability and defense technologies that can make war obsolete are crushed at birth. Illegal aliens can flood into America as though invisible, terrorists move through world airports untouched, airports no legitimate tourist or business traveler survives unscathed, pirates roam the open seas as though we were living in the 16th century, colorful poppies, thousands of acres of them, escape the watchful eye of “drug eradication” forces, everything a sham, everything a scam.

I think back over 40 years ago, my M-16 E1 rifle, issued to Marines though a failed prototype, jamming in combat. I think of the 5.56 mm rounds with their “devastating killing power” hitting Viet Cong with the stopping power of a ping pong ball. I think of the video from Iraq showing our troops welding steel plates onto their vehicles in a desperate attempt to survive the endless rain of RPGs they had been subjected to.

I can also find a thousand multi-millionaires who live in obscene luxury while we stick aluminum limbs on our young people. Every step of every process is owned, corrupted, infected, from “position papers” to “intelligence analysis” to “weapons system evaluations.” Are there Americans who would push our kids into a war for oil profits, no bid contracts or to provide “cover” for the ambitions of our own fanatic extremists, both homegrown and those of our closest ally with whom we have an “unbreakable bond?”

Junk policy, junk weapons, junk thinking leads to a junk world ruled by junk people.

It's hard after reading this and the other articles, not to feel like one has been violently punched in the stomach. Even if you've had a pretty good idea of all the evil being perpetrated in the world, actually seeing it spelled out in print has such a sickening effect. So much killing and mayhem. Although Gordon's doing a great job of bringing the criminal elements to light, does he get that our "war enemies" have been for the most part, ordinary people who just want to have peaceful lives in which to raise their own children and live in happiness - that they are just as much victims of the false flag manipulations as we are. Too bad all the available weapons aren't actually junk, then neither side could decimate the other!

The good people are set up from every side and the criminals are causing never ending destruction while raking in billions to boot. The almighty love of money. Beware of false Gods eh? Its easy to see why they need the psychopathic type mind set in order to play this game.

This reminds me of how many times we watch movies that show how our troops were sold out by the people who sent them on the mission to begin with and just recently I watched Mel Gibson's 'Edge of Darkness' remake of the original and thought to myself "he's basically telling us how they're gonna do it!" For anyone who didn't see this movie, an American nuclear company is found to be building nuclear 'dirty' bombs with a foreign signature so when they are detonated it would look as if they were built and sent from another country. My take on it was that its probably Israel building the bombs and in reality how hard would it be for them to build a bomb with a middle eastern signature and blame it on Iran anyway? Not very.

It seems were all suffering now for our many years of 'ignorant bliss' and paybacks on its way. :/

Another great article and gratitude for the post JEEP! ;)

Yes, there are some very ominous circumstances occurring and it does make me wonder just what scenario will ultimately play out. Meanwhile consider this:

Sounding a chilling note, Hart added that the U.S. is in grave danger of an Israeli-instigated false-flag nuclear attack, perhaps using an American nuclear weapon stolen from Minot Air Force Base during the "loose nukes" rogue operation of August, 2007. The motive would be to trigger a U.S. war with Iran, and perhaps to finish the ethnic cleansing of Palestine under cover of war--which Hart is convinced the Zionists are planning to do as soon as the opportunity presents itself.

And then there's all that business with South Korea accusing North Korea of sinking its sub and what role Israel is playing in this crisis:

German subs delivered to Israel
September 30, 2009

BERLIN (JTA) -- Two new German submarines were delivered to Israel.

The submarines, ordered in 2005, reportedly can launch cruise missiles carrying nuclear warheads, according to the French news agency AFP.

An Israeli military spokesman, speaking off the record, confirmed the delivery of the two Dolphin-class submarines, known as U212s. The range of the missiles the subs can carry would extend at least as far as Iran, whose controversial nuclear program coupled with verbal threats against the Jewish state have raised alarm.

Israel reportedly now has five submarines from Germany, which donated the first two subs to Israel after the 1991 Gulf War. The two countries split the cost of the third sub.

In a recent military exercise, an Israeli submarine entered the Suez Canal for the first time, accompanied by an Egyptian naval escort.

PLEASE POST THE FOLLOWING EVERYWHERE THE "BLAME NORTH KOREA" STORIES POP UP.

Now that the UN is asking for a look at the evidence for the sinking, the US is admitting the torpedo debris from the sinking comes from a GERMAN torpedo, but we are supposed to somehow assume that a German torpedo still points the finger of blame at North Korea.

Pop Quiz, students; what nation gets their submarines (for free) from Germany and has a long history of using false flag dirty tricks to trick other nations into wars?

Hint: Think "USS Liberty", "Lavon Affair", and the Bombing of Libya!

HISTORICAL NOTES ON HOW TO START WARS WITH SINKING SHIPS.

President McKinley told the American people that the USS Maine had been sunk in Havana Harbor by a Spanish mine. The American people, outraged by this apparent unprovoked attack, supported the Spanish American War. The Captain of the USS Maine had insisted the ship was sunk by a coal bin explosion, investigations after the war proved that such had indeed been the case. There had been no mine.

FDR claimed Pearl Harbor was a surprise
attack. It wasn't.
The United States saw war with Japan as the means to get into war with Germany, which Americans opposed. So Roosevelt needed Japan to appear to strike first. Following an 8-step plan devised by the Office of Naval Intelligence, Roosevelt intentionally provoked Japan into the attack. Contrary to the official story, the fleet did not maintain radio silence, but sent messages intercepted and decoded by US intercept stations. Tricked by the lie
of a surprise attack, Americans marched off to war.

President Johnson lied about the
Gulf of Tonkin to send Americans off to fight in Vietnam.

There were no torpedoes in the water in the Gulf. LBJ took advantage of an inexperienced sonar man's report to goad Congress into escalating the Vietnam War.

Israel has a long history of sinking other peoples' boats and then denying it happened.

WE HAVE BEEN DOWN THIS ROAD BEFORE.

DO NOT GET SUCKERED!

THE US GOVERNMENT IS DESPERATE FOR A WAR TO DISTRACT FROM THE CRASHING ECONOMY, THE ALREADY-LOST WARS IN AFGHANISTAN AND IRAQ, THE GULF OIL DISASTER AND THE CORRUPTION OF WALL STREET.

The Sinking of the Cheonan: We Are Being Lied To

by Scott Creighton

There is no doubt about it, there is no longer any reason to hold back, I have looked at the “evidence” and have concluded that we are being lied to, again, by our “leaders” in the White House in order to fabricate a measure of moral justification for yet another “regime change” campaign or an all out war with North Korea.

There simply is no “perfect match” like the recent unsigned report claims there is.

The White House said Monday that President Barack Obama “fully supports” the South Korean president and his response to the torpedo attack by North Korea that sank a South Korean naval ship. MSNBC

South Korea’s president said Monday his nation will no longer tolerate North Korea’s “brutality” and said the regime would pay for a surprise torpedo attack that killed 46 South Korean sailors. ABC News

North Korea has denied responsibility for the sinking of the South Korean warship, the Cheonan, on March 26, which left 46 sailors dead. A growing body of evidence assembled by the South has suggested a North Korean torpedo sank the ship. New York Times

The Growing Body Of Evidence

Clinton told reporters the evidence announced Thursday that North Korea sank the Cheonan “is overwhelming and condemning.”

… Daniel Pinkston, a North Korea expert with the International Crisis Group, a multinational not-for-profit organization, said Friday that evidence that North Korea caused the sinking is “pretty irrefutable.” Stars and Stripes

The International Crisis Group was founded by World Bank Vice-President for External Affairs, Malloch Brown and is funded by other globalist institutions. Their stated mission is to “prevent” international conflict yet somehow or another they always seem to come up with suggestions involving invading other nations or imposing strict sanctions like the kind that killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqi children. Oh yeah, the nations they target usually have a state-owned central bank system… till we invade that is.

So lets take a look at all the “overwhelming” and “irrefutable” evidence. 1. Someone wrote “number 1.” on one single piece of the salvaged torpedo… 2. they claim the torpedo remains are a “perfect match” of a North Korean type of weapon, a “CHT-02D” torpedo. This conclusion was reached via an international research team from US, the UK, Australia, and Sweden. Here is their May 20th, 2010 report. In the report, they make the following conclusion;

The torpedo parts recovered at the site of the explosion by a dredging ship on May 15th, which include the 5×5 bladed contra-rotating propellers, propulsion motor and a steering section, perfectly match the schematics of the CHT-02D torpedo included in introductory brochures provided to foreign countries by North Korea for export purposes. The markings in Hangul, which reads “1번(or No. 1 in English)”, found inside the end of the propulsion section, is consistent with the marking of a previously obtained North Korean torpedo.

… Based on all such relevant facts and classified analysis, we have reached the clear conclusion that ROKS ”Cheonan” was sunk as the result of an external underwater explosion caused by a torpedo made in North Korea. The evidence points overwhelmingly to the conclusion that the torpedo was fired by a North Korean submarine. There is no other plausible explanation. Investigation on the Sinking of the Cheonan

That’s it. That’s all their “evidence” that the international investigators presented in their UNSIGNED report. That’s right, no one knows who the “investigators” were since they didn’t take the time to sign their work.

A Perfect Match?

This is the presentation referred to in the paper linked above. They mention that during a presentation of their findings, they showed the schematics of a CHT-02D torpedo in relation to the evidence they found. They claimed in their investigation that these are a “perfect match” and that claim is being repeated endlessly on both sides of the fake political divide. (please click on image for a larger view)

a-perfect-match.jpg

This is by no means a “perfect match”. No wonder they didn’t want to sign that “investigation” of theirs. (please click on image for a larger view)

not-a-perfect-match-updated2.jpg

There are 4 clear differences in the design of these weapons and one is without a doubt, the key to proving these are not the same.

* “A” & “D” – Here you can clearly see major differences in the design of the hub of the propellers. In the diagram above you can see it has a smaller hub whereas in the evidence below it, the hub is larger.

* “B” – The actual shape of the propellers is very different. You can see a notch in the diagram above that doesn’t exist in the actual evidence propeller below. The overall shape of the blades are vastly different as well, both the front and the rear propeller sets.

All of this might be explained away by suggesting that these propellers were switched out. Thought it might be possible, remember that these are finely tuned and designed systems; one just can’t switch these hub designs “willy nilly” like one would on their John-Boat. But, that aside, though it may be possible to have put different kinds of propellers on this fish, it is certainly NOT a “perfect match”.

Now, the last point proves they are not the same torpedo.

* “C” - As you can plainly see, the stabilizers (or propulsion system?) in the diagram above are clearly shown IN FRONT of the separation plate as it is lined up in the display with the evidence below. However, the torpedo below houses that same stabilizer (or propulsion system) BEHIND the separation plate (separating the body and the tail section of the torpedo).

This is a major difference that cannot be explained by saying it was some kind of after market modification. This is part of a key design of the workings of these weapons and can not have been changed. This difference clearly indicates these are different weapons altogether.

(there are other differences that have been pointed out to this researcher; “Jan” noticed that the axle shape is tapered on the evidence and straight on the diagram. A good point. There are probably others as well (I noticed a difference in the shape of the “fin” in the guidance section in the back as well…. clearly there is no way to say these are a “perfect match”)

It is no wonder the “investigators” chose not to sign their work.

The Forgotten Investigation

On May 6th, 2010 a report came out conducted by South Korea and others that said the torpedo’s metal and explosive residue indicated that it had come from a German origin.

The team of South Korean and foreign investigators found traces of explosives used in torpedoes on several parts of the sunken ship as well as pieces of composite metal used in such weapons, South Korea’s Yonhap news agency said quoting a senior government official.

… The metallic debris and chemical residue appear to be consistent with a type of torpedo made in Germany
, indicating the North may have been trying to disguise its involvement by avoiding arms made by allies China and Russia, Yonhap quoted the official as saying. REUTERS News Agency

This report has been all but forgotten by the media and the Clinton led state department as they press for crippling sanctions and perhaps more. But there is a confirmation of sorts in the May 20th unsigned “investigation”.

The first thing they should do, rather than attempt to convince the people that the two are “perfectly matched” in design (when they clearly aren’t) is a chemical and metallic debris analysis of the evidence. The May 20th “investigation” does not make mention of this crucial part of the investigation at all… they don’t mention it at all.

The DM2 A-3 version is also used by the Norwegian Ula class (German Type 210 subs) with an option for a later upgrade). The Italian Type 212 B submarines use the DM2 A-4 version. The Israeli Dolphin-class (German Type S-300) are also being equipped with the DM2 A-4 Torpedo.

http://willyloman.files.wordpress.com/2010/05/german-torpedo.jpg?w=300&h=400

It is only a possibility but it is of German design. More investigation into the schematics of this weapon are needed before any conclusion can be reached.

Questions Being Asked

Most MSM and “progressive” parrot websites are running with the “evil North Korea” story without any investigations what-so-ever. But questions are being asked on a few sites.

Democratic Underground has compiled a list of issues surrounding the “official story” and they deserve to be reviewed. They bring up some very good points and I would hope that someone who posts there might provide them with a link to this study of mine. “What if North Korea didn’t fire the torpedo?” Democratic Underground

They bring out many points that I have not addressed here that need to be. One such point is that North Korea vehemently denies the allegations and they have asked to see the evidence inspect it themselves and they have been denied access to it.

Conclusion

It is clear that we are being lied to and manipulated into believing that North Korea is behind the sinking of the South Korean vessel, the Cheonan. It is impossible to draw conclusions at this time as to who is responsible but we can conclude based on the evidence, that the official story is yet another lie being pawned off on the American people. This lie is obvious and could be used to instigate military action against the people of North Korea.

It's hard not to think another major terror event is in the works - maybe a nuclear one this time. And who's the potential target - South Korea, Iran, someone else? And how much of a distraction is the major oil leak for Obama and the rest of the US government officials? Part of the plan? Is the Israeli mistake in its preliminary stages?

Punish North Korea! Who sank the Cheonan?

Christopher King suggests that the sinking of the South Korean warship Cheonan on 26 March was an American false flag operation aimed at creating a dispute with China to use as a pretext to raise barriers to Chinese imports, suspend interest payments on US debt held by the Chinese and force Beijing to revalue the renminbi to reduce China’s trading advantages.

Hillary Clinton, who seems to do nothing but threaten other countries, wants the international community to join with the US in punishing North Korea. We need to put our brains into gear here. The whole point of our carrying a brain is to enable us to remember the past, understand new events and predict the future. This is projection – a simple, effective means of forecasting and an essential technique to survival. So what do we know to this point?

A South Korean naval boat, the Cheonan, has sunk through an explosion. The first report from the South Korean news agency Yonhap was of two items:

* The South Korean navy shot at an unidentified ship in the direction of north

* A ship in the same area was sinking after a possible torpedo attack

Subsequently, a naval spokesmen said:

* The Cheonan had sunk with loss of 46 lives

* North Korea was not involved; it had no ships in the area

* Another South Korean ship had fired shells at a flock of birds that it had thought to be a North Korean ship that had torpedoed the Cheonan

One might well imagine that the second South Korean ship, the Cheonan’s sister ship, the Sokcho, had fired on and sunk the Cheonan. This gunfire by the Sokcho is very curious. Is radar these days still so primitive that it cannot distinguish between a flock of birds and a ship? Did the Sokcho fire a torpedo at what it imagined to be an enemy ship?

There are reports that a joint South Korean-American naval exercise was in progress at that time. Is this the case? Where were the American ships or submarines? There are also reports that early internet items and photographs have been censored by the government.

The timing of the Sokcho’s gunfire has not been made known relative to the explosion that sank the Cheonan. The Cheonan explosion is precisely timed at 9:21:58 p.m. by the South Korean Geophysical Institute which detected the shock waves but the navy kept changing its time between 9:22 and 9:45 for several days. Can the time of the Sokcho’s gunfire be independently confirmed? It seems extraordinary that the Sokcho opened fire on an unidentified target.

There are some on-line images of the Cheonan sinking but not of the explosion. The images are apparently from an automatic infra-red coastal monitoring video so it is not clear why this is the case. The government says that other images are not helpful and has not released them.

For some weeks speculation centred on the possibility of the Cheonan striking a mine from previous conflicts while not ruling out a North Korean attack. The US then produced some well-corroded junk from a torpedo that looks as if it has been in the sea for a year or more. Photographs show the edges of the alloy propellers scalloped with corrosion. From a single Korean character on a piece of metal the US has accused North Korea of sinking the Cheonan.

Explosive residues found on the Cheonan when it was raised, are of German origin. How this relates to a North Korean torpedo or one of Russian or Chinese origin is not clear.

Now, the United States is in command of South Korea’s armed forces – as it is NATO. Any information that we are given by the military is what the US wants us to have, and we have experience of this.

We will recall the lies about Saddam Hussein’s nuclear programme, chemical and biological weapons and mobile chemical factories in justification of the Iraq war that killed one million persons and created four to five million refugees.

We currently hear a stream of accusations that Iran has a nuclear weapons programme, contrary to the views of the US’s own security services and without foundation in the International Atomic Energy Agency’s inspection reports. As in the case of the CIA coup against the Mossadeq government, the US is attempting to justify invasion and seizure of the Iranian oilfields. There’s worse.

As I’ve mentioned before, the Israelis attempted to sink the USS Liberty during the 1967 Israeli pre-emptive war against Egypt, Syria and Jordan, with the loss of 34 American lives and 173 wounded. The White House recalled US aircraft that were sent to rescue the Liberty and its crew were threatened and warned not to talk about the attack. This was evidently a botched false-flag operation intended to blame Arab countries and justify US intervention. There’s even worse.

In 1962 the US Joint Chiefs of Staff prepared plans for “Operation Northwoods” or “‘The Cuba Project” as a pretext for the invasion of Cuba. Documentation is in the National Security Archive at George Washinton University. This was a false flag operation that proposed, among other things, planting plastic bombs on the US mainland, shooting anti-Castro Cubans in Florida, sinking a boatload of Cubans and using a US aircraft disguised as a Soviet fighter, to shoot down an airliner flying from the US over Cuba. For the last, “The passengers could be a group of college students off on a holiday or any grouping of persons…” This plan was presented to the White House but was not implemented. It demonstrates US thinking, however.

Immediately prior to the Iraq war, George Bush proposed to create an incident by flying a US aircraft disguised as a UN aircraft either in the hope of the Iraqis shooting it down or for the US itself to shoot it down as a cause for war against Saddam. In a rare outbreak of conscience or failure of nerve, Anthony Blair allegedly dissuaded Bush from this.

There can be no doubt that the United States government is perfectly willing to undertake false flag operations as well as other practices such as aggressive warfare, kidnapping, torture, assassination, killing on the word of informers, imprisonment without charge, false evidence, hiding evidence, destruction of evidence – the list is endless. It is now impossible to think of an illegal practice that the US government does not undertake.

An interesting departure from the US originating death and destruction is a report in the Frankfurter Allgemeine. The opinion of the security printing industry is that for many years the CIA has been printing US dollars at a location in the US and using them to finance its operations. The banknotes are considered by the industry to be of such high quality that countries such as North Korea, that the US has from time to time accused of printing them, would not have the capability. North Korea evidently does not have the ability to print its own currency. We should probably add international forgery to the US’s crimes.

I suggest that the sinking of the Cheonan is an American false flag operation aimed not at North Korea but at China. In studying American behaviour we must look past immediate behaviour to see how it fits into America’s strategic plans. Just as the Georgian war with South Ossetia was a provocation of Russia, the Cheonan sinking is probably aimed at putting pressure on China to take action that it does not wish to take. The US would like a serious dispute with China in order to:

1. Raise barriers to Chinese imports in order to revive manufacturing in the US.

2. Suspend interest payments on US debt held by the Chinese.

3. Force the Chinese to revalue the renminbi to reduce China’s trading advantages.

As I have explained in the article “The mystery of the Afghanistan war”, the US economy is in terminal decline. The US strategic response is to:

1. Dominate Europe through its military bases and NATO, both to parasitize its economy and prevent European economic integration with Russia.

2. By creating disputes, recover value-added jobs from Asia and in particular, China.

3. Seize the Middle Eastern oilfields in order to monopolize the world’s major sources of exportable energy.

The US ideal is a new cold war situation in which Russia and China are economically “contained”. Unfortunately, most UK politicians appear to be too stupid to think strategically if my own Member of Parliament, Richard Ottaway, is typical. Alternatively, they might have been bribed as Anthony Blair was or might have Israeli or Zionist connections and will support the US for that reason. Europe is committing suicide in attaching to the United States and the US-commanded NATO. Its current financial problems are partly for this reason.

There is no good reason for North Korea to attack and sink a South Korean ship. It has been speculated that this has been done to “get attention”. This is out of character and the wrong sort of attention. The North Koreans like provocations such as a rocket or nuclear test that show that they are dangerous but do no actual harm. It demonstrates that they have something to bargain with in order to get benefits, for example oil or food, both of which they need. Sinking the Cheonan is not a bargaining move. It cannot possibly lead to any benefit. For this reason and because of America’s proven record of lies and willingness to undertake false flag operations, even involving deaths, it is most likely that the Americans, not the North Koreans, sank the Cheonan. The American economy is in desperate straits and American militarism reflects this.

The US is clearly engaged in a programme of using the United Nations in order to further its own political and economic objectives, initially centred on the Middle Eastern oilfields but also involving Europe, Russia and China. Its actions only make sense if viewed within a strategic framework of what benefits the United States, not its fictions that it is fostering democracy, acting as world policeman or fighting terrorism. The United States itself, with its foreign bases, armies and the CIA, is the world terrorist.

Japan has found that it cannot get the US Futenma base moved off Okinawa. Germany, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Norway and Belgium have asked the US to remove its nuclear weapons from Europe. The US has refused this, saying that it is a NATO matter, not one for individual countries.

Cuba, which hosts the Guantanamo base and torture facility, has had the same experience. The US is in violation of the base lease by constructing a prison on Cuban territory, to say nothing of a centre for kidnapping and torture. Indeed, why should any country be forced to host the base of a country that has over many years openly attempted to overthrow its government and assassinate its president? Legal opinion is against the US but as the world has learned the US despises international law.

As far as the United Kingdom and Europe are concerned, the US would be a wonderful ally to have – at a certain distance. We need to have the US remove its bases from Europe and to create a unified European defence force that is not under US control as NATO is. We would call for our US ally’s assistance if we should need it.

The solution to the problem of North Korea is simple: Stop the macho eyeballing; move all military forces in the south a kilometre or two back from the border. Open the border to the north to all visitors and immigrants according to normal criteria. Manage the border posts with the usual border officials and civil police. Permit any commerce that can be paid for by either side. In other words, unilaterally normalize relations. The Northern regime will not last five years and probably considerably less.

As it happens, South Koreans do not regard the North to be the enemies that the US does. They consider themselves to be one fraternal country and want unification as East and West Germany did. Some of us can remember the trouble that the open border caused the Walter Ulbricht regime. If you do not know who he was do not bother looking him up. He was merely a lackey, now best forgotten, as Condoleezza Rice and Hillary Clinton will be.
