Receiving Reiki

The Force is Strong With This One
I have went through a level 1 Reiki course and around 6 months later had a reiki treatment by another person. I have not continued with self treatments or practiced any reiki programs, forms etc since.

The dream consists of me laying down and receiving a Reiki treatment. I feel what I think is the man's elbows pushing into the top of my head
( I say elbows as that is what I felt he was doing as it was so forceful. In retrospect he could have been using a finger but I did think that the 'force' being used was unusual)
I do not remember the man ( who I do not recal ever seeing , I just felt the person doing the treatment was masculine) ever saying a word.
After having a few ( 2 or 3) symbols ( my interpretation ) drawn on my head. I felt a strong electrical jolt from my crown to my feet. Not exactly a straight line but from the neck to torso there may have been some direction change as the 'bolt' proceded to my feet.
It was so strong that I began to speak to the man. I was having trouble expressing myself but the gist of my words was .. Wow, that was, um really strong.. I felt that strongly....
end dream.

I had forgotten that dream up until today when I thought of doing both the EE breathing and a Reiki self treatment together. I then remembered that I had the dream a few days ago.

Hi Oompaloompa,
Laura has mentioned that EE should be done just the way it is presented and not to use any other techniques including Reiki while doing it.
Many people have the notion that they can combine EE with all sorts of other things with the idea they can then get 'more bang for the buck'.
So, if you are really thinking of doing that you should understand that it is not recommended at all.

Thank you for the reply Richard. I do recall reading in other threads/posts that EE is fine by itself. When the thought occured to me to combine it with other programs to get as you say "more bang for the buck" that was my intention. Thanks again for the reminder, no need to 'boost' something that works in me at my own pace.
