Red light

Jedi Master
Was out having a smoke, and saw a stationary blinking red light far off on the horizon. Once I noticed it it disappeared.

Could a cloud have passed between right at that moment? I would be critical of saying it was a UFO unless it does something distinct and out of the ordinary. But a blinking red light could have easily been a star, osit.

Planes flying in a straight line away from your point of view can appear stationary at long distances. Planes also have blinking red lights that are turned on and off at different points. There are also many other sources of light that blink red in this world, all of which are pretty normal these days. What led you to believe this event was extraordinary?

I wasn't aware that planes could do that, thank you for the info. Nothing made me think it was extraordinary, it was just an airborne object that appeared to be acting unusually. I have also seen other strange objects in the air in the area of this one.

This is a possibility. It was a UFO in the sense that it was a flying object that I could not identify and, what with the disappearing, was acting strangely. However, I have seen numerous strange airborne activity in the exact place of this sighting. For example, last year, with a totally clear sky, I saw a UFO like this one fly left, stop on a dime, and then disappear. That one was far more prominent though, and was flashing different colours.
This was in the same area of sky.

On Saturday evening, "above Sarajevo," I saw something (comet, asteroid) very bright with great tail behind. Lasted a while. On Sunday I saw the first one "thick" white streak in the sky, but I did not because of his sight failed to see what's up. And at the moment when I thought, "maybe the plane" plane is encountered. Of course, his track is much "thinner" and quickly disappears. When I stood at the window again, shortly thereafter, I saw other "thick" trail. I'm looking for anything anywhere on portals ... no.
