Remember the movie...

The Living Force
I am trying to remember a movie that scarred the shite
out of me when I was a kid.

The movie (or was something from Outer Limits or Twlight Zone)
was in black and white, and what I vaguely recalled the planet
earth was being visited by aliens from outer space.

At first, people were in fear, but once the aliens came out, they
were able to give the impression they were benevolent, the people
gradually came to accept these visitors from space.

One particular alien was very tall, (and in real life was probably
7 to 8 feet, probably the same person who played the character
"Lurch" in the Adaams Family sitcom), appeared to be a dignitary
or representative to the alien race, met with a counterpart earth
representative, and handed over a giant book. This book then
given over to a scientist/linguist, since it was written in an alien
language and they assumed it was a book to help humans to
understand the alien language or race.

While the linguist is trying to dechiper the the book, he like other
humans were curious, trying to learn everything they can of their
visitors, over time they started lowering their guards, becoming
less suspicious, started trusting these aliens, took tours of the ships,
and took space rides.

While all this is all ongoing, the linguist figures out what the book
really was... then frantically tried to warn the leaders and the people
of earth what was really going on... I will stop here before spilling all
of the beans...

Can anyone recall what the movie or series (Outer Limits? Twilight Zone?)
was?

It is not "V", this story had to have come out in 50 or 60's.... I think.

Laura, is there any relation or connection to this!?!?!?

Please reads the link Grim gave us:

To Serve Man, written by Rod Serling from a short story by Damon Knight, was first televised on March 2, 1962.
Synchronicity or coincidence!?!?!?

Thank you for being generous, but I kindly wish to decline the offer.

I wanted to bring attention to this TZ episode as it seems that this story
had to be more than just science fiction and I somehow think it wasn't
just created from a vaccum. I wonder if Damon Knight had some sort
of a dream or revealation when he to wrote this story. Who will ever know?

Maybe Damon Knight was a distant cousin of Laura or something, although unlikely. :)

Dunno, just seems hard to say that it is simply coincidental...

Again, many thanks for your offer!
