I'm glad to see that Board such as Music exists on the forum. I'd like to recommend a work of Renaud Garcia-Fons, who is an amazing composer and performer on so-called Double Bass (5-strings!). I'm really enjoying in this music and I believe that you'll also like his work.

Here is just few examples from youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXt6htVi3C4 or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXt6htVi3C4

Hey prasimix :D

Yeah, he is definitely a great musician and composer. His music is very deep, colorfull and dynamic, abounding in variations. I like that. Especially the album "Navigatore". At least in musical terms he seems to be truly open minded. Allthough I am used to listen to such opposite extremes like Aphex Twin I appreciate his music as well. I like expressive music in general! If there wasn't any music in fourth density, I guess I would prefer to stay in the third. I am addicted to it.

Hmmm, if I remembered C's correctly there is no limit in 4th density, and I can imagine myself to (finally) compose, and simultaneously conduct and play a whole orchestra using all known and unknown type of instruments  (I'm just thinking of let say a quad bass or violinochellobass instrument with two dozen of strings, that is in same time lighter then violin and deeper then bass  )

 Yeah, that's the spirit! But why do you want to wait until the wave kicks you? Start now, sky's the limit!

Yeah, I agree with you but currently I'm pretty busy trying to catch up reading/exploring many information and sources that many members on this forum probably knows for decades, and deprogramming with require a full engagement for a while (and day still has a 24 hours). First thing, first :)

You are right, one step at a time! And it definitely is hard work to reach such goals. But it's also fun! Sometimes I get the impression that it's the programmes that are creating limits, so debugging yourself might open doors to unexpected possibilities. Let's face it: What do we know, what's possible and what's not? I know a self-educating guy who has constantly been learning music (playing instruments, composing, using softsynths and FX) for some years and his music definitely evolves visibly in such a short time, that I am asking myself: Is he some kind of genius or does he just knows the trick? Maybe it's just a matter of attitude. For instance: He designed two info-graphical sheets about the key-basics of musical harmony, that can be understood without being able to read one single note. He definitely enriched my way of seeing things.

I don't know what you are capable of when you have reached the state of Gurdijeff, when you definitely know yourself :) There is much, much work to be done! So I should stop talking so much and go on! Good luck ;D
