Like many of the residents in the town, Mr Zeigler wants a large Israeli military action into Gaza that he believes will end the problem once and for all.

"We need to go into Gaza and clear a security buffer," he said.

"We have to make the northern parts of Gaza (the area where the militants fire their rockets from) an effective no-go area."
just shocking. read all the 'Zionism in Action' articles on todays signs, and then see how this article misrepresents the situation, with its headline speaking of oppressed Israelis. Well yes they are oppressed but, by god, that's hardly the whole story.

and then of course, the solution - 'clear a security buffer' ie: go into Gaza and shoot anything that moves.
ugh. I feel sick.

at least the article itself (reading between the lines), hints at a growing unease within the Israeli population about their situation. maybe they'll actually start to doubt or protest about what is being done in their name? I'm not holding my breath though.

Yeah, Vinny, it is sickening to see this stuff day in and day out. "Security Buffer" would be another good one for the double speak dictionary:

Security Buffer: Free-fire zone on civilians.

Amazing...

The Oregonian chooses to be selective and today, they show only
the plight of the israeli families suffering from the rocket attacks
on their homes and chooses not to show the other side of the
attacks. The photo shoot shows "poor" families together in a
downtroden pose with pitiful sad faces.

Geez.

Just goes to show who runs the media, as if we don't already know it. But, it is so blatantly shown over and over whose side the media is on, and yet, no one is the wiser to what is being done.

So, so sad. :(
