They come by the names of Rife Generator, REM SuperPro Generator, PERL or Beam Ray, and are sold by a variety of commercial sources for up to $5000 per unit. The claim is that these instruments produce a specific "Mortal Oscillation Rate" that can kill cancer cells or infecting organisms without harming the surrounding tissue. You can get more information and links from this Wikipedia entry.

While conducting a Radio-Canada Zone Libre investigation on the alternative medicine industry, Luc Chartrand (in the blue shirt) and Germain Thibault (green shirt) were told that Rife Generators could also be used to cure infections caused by the fungal pathogen Candida albicans.

They already had access to a Rife Generator, courtesy of a local teacher (in the white shirt) who had acquired it in the hope of curing his son’s brain tumor. Since my lab does research on Candida, we developped a series of experiments designed to test whether this instrument can affect the viability of this fungi.

I checked the website. Unfortunately they do not mention the actual equipment, which was used nor do they mention the frequencies, wave form, duty cycles, distance between sample and device a.s.o. There is absolutely nothing, that anybody familiar with Rife technology could draw any conclusions from.

I would call this a piece of bad science.

Yes, this is a bit strange because in one hand they seem to have been very careful, the photos are here to prove that, and in the other hand we do not have a detailed report of what what used and how.
About the frequency, they say they used the one indicated in the Rife documentation about Candida.

I think the experience was real, if not, I would do not have posted. So two possibilities, either this is bad science as you say or this site do not report all. I do not believe photos are a total fraud but who know ?
I will try to find a bit more.

It is unclear what Rife documentation they are referencing to. The most popular is a list of frequencies called CAFL. Then there is a handbook by Nenah Sylver and Hulda Clark's work. Most of the frequencies suggested are in the audio range, just a few hundred Hertz. These may work to some degree or not. What is overlooked by most users is that Rife used carrier waves in the megahertz range, which were modulated by a second lower frequency. That makes quite some difference. Without such carrier one might miss the target by a few million Hertz.

An interesting article on candida and Rife can be found here: _www.rifeforum.com/.../Candida_Research-Holman_Dorneanu_2009.pdf

Over the next few weeks I will try the suggested frequencies with and without carrier. If there should be anything to write home about, I will post it here.
