Runaway Jury

A couple of days ago I watched the 2003 film, Runaway Jury. I was attracted to it by the actors; Gene Hackman, John Cusack, Dustin Hoffman, Rachel Weisz, etc. They did not disappoint. The film is a blatant 2nd Amendment/ gun control propaganda piece, but it transcends its agenda by presenting psychopathy (Gene Hackman - win at any cost) and the gun manufacturers, and a classic demonstration of Castaneda's stalking the petty tyrant by Cusack and Weisz. Good plot development.

IMDB says this:

A juror on the inside and a woman on the outside manipulate a court trial involving a major gun manufacturer.

Some trailers here, also: _http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0313542/

I thoroughly enjoyed this film.

Hello, Rabelius,
I was IN that movie as an extra. I'm no actor by any stretch of the imagination. A friend, the assistant director asked if I wanted a bit part as Courtroom Sketch Artist (and I really did draw everyone and everything.) Seeing a movie from the inside is vastly different from the outside. Actors get a chace to redo their lines, while we only ever get one chance to say anything. I sat in front of Gene Hackman just behind the defense lawyers table , just drawing away. He was a nice guy. But when he turned on the bad guy face, he was pretty convincing standing close by. I gave him the sketch I did of him and he was a bit surprised. I did several because he has an interesting face. It's great to watch a completed film and realize that the five o'clock sunlight from the window was really midnight with good lighting.
The theme changed a bit from the filming that was done, but so much winds up on the cutting room floor. Fun experience. Too much cold pizza.
