Several years ago some guys created a Youtube channel, where they started sharing self-made short videos that were a mash-up between Russian low-tech realities, cyberpunk, robotics, and all king of sci-fi ideas ala Brothers Strugatski. At the same time the videos were funny, kind, and full of self-irony. The videos went viral and become a phenomenal success on the Russian net.

This is when Yandex streaming service Kinopoisk approached these guys and told them that they want to invest in them and make the videos into a series. One season of "Cyberfarm" is already out and is absolutely awesome.

Unfortunately, I don't think it will be picked up by any Western streaming services. But who knows...In any case, you can still take a look at the short videos, and the authors also shared two episodes of the series.

There is no professional English translation. At the moment they only turned on English automated subtitles. There are some mistakes, but they are mostly good. The short videos themselves are also full of English, as it was probably originally intended for the international audience, and not only Russians.

I recommend watching it because of it's creativity, humor, and the opportunity to get to know the "Russian soul". It sounds strange to say that you can learn abut the "Russian soul" from the videos about robots and hardcore sci-fi, but yeah, the guys who made it were able both demonstrate often not pretty Russian realities in an authentic but not offensive way, and also show Russian people or even their mechanical creations in a "soulful" manner.

These are the 2 first episodes of the series:

The writing of the series is excellent, imo, and the humor is mature enough, but can also be watched by kids.

For example, this is the teaser for the New Years episode of Cyberfarm. Looks like the intent of the creators and Kinopoisk to appeal to the younger generation, but also not to dumb them down, quite the opposite. To use the series to motivate them to learn more about science.
