Ryanair flight makes emergency landing in Dublin
Back of Stansted-bound aircraft hits runway on take-off, forcing an immediate 'precautionary' landing
A Ryanair flight was today forced to make an emergency landing at Dublin airport after the back of the aircraft struck the runway during take-off.
A spokesman from the budget airline said the plane deployed oxygen masks and returned to Dublin "as a precautionary measure".
He said similar "tail-strike" incidents were quite common and that "all passengers disembarked normally".
The flight took off from Dublin at 11.40am en route to Stansted. None of the passengers on board were injured.
On August 26, a Ryanair flight from Bristol to Barcelona had to land in Limoges after a sudden loss of cabin pressure. Sixteen passengers were taken to hospital suffering from earache.
